  1. I know steve. I used gviscio. he's at www.obesitylawyers.com I appealed, I hated having to pay but I got my band I think the insurance company should have to pay us back for our trouble when we have to appeal.
  2. You have to keep fighitng. I did. YOu can't stop because thats what they want. USe a lawyer or not, but don't stop. I didn't. And dont trust them either, I did on the phone and they told me sure not problem and then boom denied. Mr. viscio appealed for me and we won, but I'll tell you, the fight is a pain in the butt and not something we need on our heads. Good luck.
  3. I didn't have to wait. New York has very good laws on medical necessity and external reviews. I had to get a lawyer, but I didn't need to wait the 6 months. I had enough to show I tried a ton of diets with my primary doctor. Good luck,
