Hooker spouse make sure you thank your parents they seem to have raised a good kid. Good for you for wanting to be there for your spouse. Your type of story is rare to hear most of the stories of spouses on here are of them being selfish and cruel. So your questions are very refreshing. Make sure you eat but dont do it like your hiding from her. Also yes you have to eat but keep it simple dont go get her favorites and chomp down in front of her.

Wow! The picture on the right is in loose clothing, so it does not clearly show her shape as well as the after picture. This site is to inform and share. I do not believe the nastiness. Sometimes we just need to ignor and let things go to be the bigger person. I am 12 days post op and 23 pounds down. I commend you working out that hard. You look great. Keep up the good work.

B-52 hey those two cents you just posted now was packed with more valuable information for me than you will ever know. I understand that you feel like there is not much for you here i suppose if i am as successful as you one day i may and would probably feel the same way. As for now i am thankful for this website as i find so many of my silly questions that i was not brave enough to ask but someone else did answered. And now wondering whether i can keep this up long term. Thank you for sharing and i am sorry to see you go.

I'll be 6 years in a few weeks....110% successful, never had any problems.
Good restriction, portion sizes limited. Hunger and cravings next to nonexistent.
Certain foods I cannot eat, others I gave up intentionally...so it's all good.
Exercise regularly, struggle at first to be motivated but after seeing results it became more and more of a habit.
I do not believe in Maintenance, I do today what I did last year, and the year before that and the year before that.
It is a new way of living that has developed...not a diet.
I have no fear of gaining any weight back as long as my band remains constant.
It has gotten to the point that WLS is old news, most people don't remember when I was obese, and new people will never know.
Don't think about it all that much anymore, go about my daily routine. Same as it ever was.
I enjoy things that people here turn into hot topics....
So you see, being successful makes me an odd ball...someone who does not fit in on this forum. And people have been critical of my success even though it is first-hand life experience. Can't possibly be true...it's only a tool! A concept I do not belive in...wait for it,...see what I mean???
They are all newbies and we are worlds apart.
There is simply nothing for me here...I come around just for the reading entertainment and every now and then, like now, I put my 2 cents in for whats it worth.
There were many, many people who were here when I first came..it was called the "Lapband Forum" then.
I followed their success, and they too, like me, found nothing here for them anymore so they moved on.
Imagine this was a website for people just getting started driving a car...lots of good discussion on how to get started, hints and tricks to get it right, and some frustrations and fear of failure...
Parallel parking can be tough....and yes people have car accidents. Even veterans.
But after you have been driving for a few years...whats the point of staying here? Time to move on.

Thats where i currently find myself post surgery trying different shakes and not having a lot of luck. I have tried GNC unflavored not bad but i keep getting a severe aftertaste. Tried premier mix it is okay but not for everyday the already mixed were too chalky and thick. The one i really liked was GENEPRO but that one has alot of controversey behind it and i am not sure i want to bet my health on it. So ultimately it is Syntrax tried alot flavors and found some that are tolerable. Plus they have lots of flavors that i can interchange through the week. I actually liked the grapefruit and road side lemonade the best but there was nothing wrong with the other flavors either.
As for unflavored fixing to try the Unjury medical grade hmm we shall see.

hello everyone .... And thanks for sticking around. From someone that's been on this site for a long time.... Since 2009.... from time to time a change is needed.... We should never let a few bad apple spoil the whole bunch.
Never is it ok to allow any person/persons to make anyone feel bullied, belittled, unimportant, dumb... Etc. We are all here for basically the same reason.... To be with people that have been in our shoes... We all started at the same place. We were all obese and looking to make a change in our lives for the better. We found this site looking for answers. Answers to questions no matter how large or small. I'm sure if you thought of the question... someone else is thinking it too but may be afraid to ask. NO ONE has all the answers.
So I say.... ask... I'm sure someone here may have an answer... if not, must of us will say... Check with your DR.
So stick around... there are still plenty of the Vet's here with years and years of experience, knowledge and advice to give. Lots of amazing people here with amazing success stories to aspire too...
I'm not going to say the thought of leaving didn't cross my mind... it did. I was going to only because i didn't like the drama..... Then that night I got a PM asking if a member could share my Before/Afters with a coworker... I said sure and the next message was how encouraged he said she was to start her very own journey. THAT.. makes it all worth it... so I stay to try and encourage those who are to come behind me, like I was encouraged all the years ago...
