  3. I am home and doing okay. My gas hasn't been fun but walking helps. Pain meds work well and I'm on the mend. Walk walk walk. Sip sip sip.

  6. Tomorrow is the day for me too! I find I'm not nervous about the surgery, I'm more nervous about all that comes after.
  7. @@TeresaD That's what I had to do for the first 12 days of my pre-op diet. Starting today it went to liquids only. I'm almost done with the first day of that and I'm very thankful my surgeon only does it for two days. Though I do like the 11 pounds I've lost already.
  8. I don't have to stop taking anything except aspirin one week before and anti-inflammatories 48 hours before.
  9. I will say my nut said that she's not sold on the patches yet - she says the data just isn't in on their effectiveness yet.
  10. @@TeresaD I have been on a modified diet since the 10th. I had to replace 2 meals each day with protein shakes/soups, I could have low fat snacks like a boiled egg or some sugar free jello, and then a healthy meal with no carbs. As of today no more of that regular food. I have lost 11 pounds since the 10th.
  11. @@Jonesy23 How are you feeling? @@DFP And how are you feeling??
  12. @@TeresaD Oh I am. I started my liquids only diet this morning. No more real food between now and surgery. I'm excited and nervous all rolled into one.

  17. I am better now, but sadly it took a round at the ER with 2 IV bags of fluids to get my dehydration under control. I hope no one else gets this nasty virus! I was able to have some solid food tonight - 1/2 chicken breast and some tomatoes.
  18. Want to know how to totally succeed on your first day of your pre-op diet? Get a REALLY nasty stomach bug! I recommend it for NO ONE. OMG I feel like I did a thousand crunches, but I also went from 314 to 306 in like 36 hours! Like I said, I don't recommend it. It was not fun. I hope everyone else is doing good on their pre-op diets!

  23. I start my pre-op diet Tuesday (surgery the 24th) - mine is one lean meat & veg meal and Meal Replacements the rest of the day. I'm also allowed up to one cup of fruit per day which I figure will make great Snacks for those time my body thinks it is starving. I was really afraid I was going to have to have a full liquid diet for two weeks, so this diet was both a relieve and seemed easy in comparison. Good luck!
