  1. For the first month and a half after surgery my back hurt so badly. Figured out it was because I wasn't using my abs as I should and all the stress went to my back. It does get better!
  2. I eat Greek yogurt with granola every morning.
  3. I agree that 600 is too low. I'm 8.5 weeks out and eat about the same amount of calories as you.
  4. I lost 37 pounds in the first month (including pre-op) and my second month I actually went back and forth gaining and losing a pound. I literally stalled for 4-5 weeks. I was so scared that I wouldn't lose anymore or that this wouldn't work for me but I know it will eventually come off. I am eating good and exercising. I just have to be patient. My surgeon said this was all very normal and to not stress. Stress can make you hold onto weight as well. He said protein first, get 10k steps and take a hot yoga class and chill out. Ha ha! It will come. I am finally down a couple of pounds and am feeling great! It will come off I promise!
  5. Only once right after surgery and that was because I was taking crushed up pills in unsweetened apple sauce. I am 8 weeks Post op.
  6. There's not a lot of protein in almond milk.
  7. I am 8 weeks Post op and can eat around 800-1000 calories a day.
  8. I am 8 weeks Post op on Wednesday and I eat power crunch protein bars!
  9. Take your measurements as well!
  10. You should up your calories. My surgeon says I should be around 800-1000 and I'm only 7 weeks Post op.
  11. Yeah. I want it but not sure I'm ready to actually try it yet. Still can only get in 2-3 ounces per meal. Thanks!
  12. Do you mind giving me an example of your daily food food intake? Thanks!
  13. How far along are you? I'm 7 weeks and really want to try romaine or arugula.
  14. No. Just the patty. I buy butterball frozen patties and cook in a skillet with olive oil spray.
  15. Same for me and doctor says we are right where we should be! He reminded me that we didn't gain all this weight in 6 weeks so why do we expect to lose it so quickly? It's hard but it's just part of the process. He said stressing will do no good. Just eat protein first, get 10k steps in and chill out. Good luck!
  16. Sure! I will give you yesterday's stats: Meal 1 (9am) Fiber One bar and 3 slices of turkey bacon Meal 2 (11:30am) half of a turkey burger with mustard and half slice of cheese Meal 3 (3pm) other half of turkey burger with mustard and half slice of cheese Meal 4 (6:00pm) 3 oz shredded chicken and black beans with taco seasoning and 1/2 tablespoon shredded cheese Meal 5 (8:30pm) 3 oz shredded chicken and black beans with taco seasoning and 1/2 tablespoon shredded cheese 801 Calories 96 grams of protein 24 grams of carbs 6 grams of fiber 1O grams of sugar 35 grams of fat I don't normally eat that much protein in a day but I am really hungry because I am on my period. (Sorry if TMI!) Hope this helps!
  17. We are almost exactly the same! I was sleeved 3/15. I have lost 23 since surgery and 38 total. I have been at a standstill for a couple of weeks now but saw my surgeon this past Monday and he said it's normal and he was happy with how it was going. I just ate 1000 calories today and I was so happy to see your post that you are doing the same. I am able to eat all my protein and am no longer doing protein shakes. Wish you the best of luck!!
  18. I was sleeved 3/15 and my surgeon said if I woke up with a drain then it would mean something went wrong in surgery. They don't do either unless needed.
  19. I was unable to take my Effexor after I was sleeved because the pills crushed up made me vomit. I ended up having horrible withdrawals because of it. But since I went through all of that I decided (with my PCP approval) to try life without anxiety- depression meds and I am 6 weeks post op now and am doing good! It was a really rough 2-3 weeks though!
