i have not had the band as of yet, but i was very impressed with Dr. Luttrell at the seminar. Might I ask how the weight loss is coming?

Praise God for the modern technology.....I am so thankful for the opportunity to have another chance at life. I have a few hurdles yet to go before i am approved for surgery, and i had the staple procedure back in the 80's and there just may be too much scar tissue to do the lap band. So i am very much in limbo,....but it is wonderful news that your pain is better. Best wishes to you and reaching your GOAL! Mary....Jacksonville AR.

I have the burning in my feet and im wondering if after im BANDED, and lose weight,,might that hurtful pain of my burning feet,,GO AWAY.. word of encouragement, my Doc told me that he had only had one that he wasnt able to complete due to scare tissue....that means many that he was successful on

why all the scar tissue? I had the old timey staple procedure from the 80'S and the scaring is my fear now.....I want it so bad!

howdyy, i think i will be having my surgery w/ Dr. Luttrell.. The way I am working on financing,,,,i just seem to be leaning in his direction. I went to the seminar this week and he was a delight. I have had the staple procedure back in the 80's and he is encouraging that I am a candidate for the Lap band, Ev en though I have been altered.

i have another meeting on TUES. re: financing,,,,,i hav e all my fingers & toes crossed! I enjoyed the siminar yesterday so much.... It was almost like being with family....we had so much in common.

hey Sunshine gals,,,,, im just in the WANNA DO IT STAGE!!!! Yesterday i was threatening to cut a hole in a sheet for my head and get a jumprope for a belt!!!. I have my first visit with my potential surgeon yesterday,,,, i was on cloud nine today!

Hey, Jacksonville here too, I spent alot of time today on the phone with Leslie at Dr. Welborns office. She is a delight., I would love to hear how you are doing in your weight loss. I am just starting my process...whew,,,,I hope to have it done this year.

i think you might need to shop further for a more POSITIVE attitude where the Doc is concerned. Bypass is more expensive that might mean more change in his pocket if you choose that over the Lapband..

it just makes me want to cry tears of joy to see such a major change,,,,No one knows what we carry around, inside AND outside as well. Keep up the good work, and i cant wait to see what 6 months will shpw us mary in arkansas,,,,,,,working on getting banded

I heard through a grapevine that the Arkansas Rehabilitation Services have paid for others to have weight loss surgery. I have spoken to 2 that testified to this. I have made application to the org. They get new money to work with in July, so I know I am in for a wait. They will as an alternative send me to our local University Hospital for a weight loss program there. They have the suppliments and such,,,,,But I am almost sure that I cant stay on that without the restriction of the lapband. Hubby and I are headed out to got yardsaleing......Have a super Saturday.....Come to arkansas and come to church with me tomorrow.

Kathy, do you know when surgery will be yet? I got turned down by the insurance,,,,so, im looking into another avenue,,,,and i have all toes and fingers crossed!

the way it has been explained to me is that the Liver is usually large in Obese folk and that the two week liquid diet will shrink it rather fast and this allows an easier path for the Doc doing the surgery.

Oh I know you can make,,,,just part of the process
