This thread is pretty funny. Y'all get so mad about strangers on the internet who really do have the best intentions.

Yep! They were actually first to go, but I'm still large breasted. I was DDD. 3 months later, D. I've been a D most of my skinny adult life. I assume they'll stay here.

First, I'm very very sorry for your loss. My dogs are my children so I completely understand.
This works for me - adult coloring books. They have them at Michaels, and everything is available on Amazon these days. It makes you concentrate, and the end result is rewarding.
I learned it as a trick to help panic attacks, but it's the same concept.

Thank God I have doggy heaters, because my husband doesn't like my cold limbs one bit!

20 minutes or so. I put my fork down, and sometimes have to remind myself to force my fork down. Hard habit to break. But I hate feeling sick so I force the fork down. I try to wait 1 minute between each bite.

I am three and a half years out and maintaining just fine.
My sleeve tolerates carbonation just fine and hasn't stretched. I am not a kangaroo, so I do not have a pouch.

I swear, @Gustavio....you have a serious habit of poking at certain vets on this board and if you run them off before I get through this surgery and get to my 5 year mark, I'm gonna be very, very irritated. I NEED them. You don't seem to realize that you may need them, too.

One more thought.
I think it's important to realize that everyone who is a "vet" and is posting on this board is very likely doing so because they want everyone on this board to be successful. I have yet to meet anyone here who has even a shred of malicious intent. Most of the vets are far enough out that they aren't really here for their own support. They're here because they made friends that are important to them, and/or they are trying to "pay it forward" for the help and support they got when they were newbies.
It's also good to remember that they've answered the same questions, or posted the same content, hundreds of times. So sometimes their answers may seem short or impatient, but it's really just that they've typed it so darned many times. They're trying to share their experience and knowledge, period. They're not here to lord it over anyone, because trust me there's easier ways than spending time on this board to get a superiority fix.
As someone who's only a little ways down this path, I deeply appreciate everything the vets share about their experience and how they're making this work. I believe it would be very short sighted and more than a little idiotic for me to blow off what they have to say. I give serious consideration to every post that a vet makes about successful WLS. Not all of it applies to me, but I consider it carefully.
Assume good intentions, is all I'm saying. Because that is seriously all I've ever seen here.

There is no way this is not someone trolling. Anyone that has had issues with weight and taken the time to research and have this type of surgery isn't as flippant about eating as the OP is. I'm sorry but this is bs!

rolosmom7 got a reaction from dredfern in Helpful Pampering
Hi ladies (and men, if so inclined)
Just wanted to share something that's really helped me. I've felt pretty sick, tough recovery so far. Each night, I've been digging out something to pamper myself. You know, that stuff we buy, use once and then put on a shelf never to be seen again?
Well, I busted it out. I've been doing face masks, sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, etc. It really has helped mentally. Bonus, all that stuff doesn't go to waste!
Just wanted to share - I may feel like s**t but my skin looks good!
Also, I tried to put this in the "powder room" forum and it wouldn't let me?

rolosmom7 got a reaction from Jhawaiianhny in How do I manage to get enough protein daily!?
P3 packs (once you're cleared for nuts)
Greek yogurt
tuna
cheese (lots of cheese sticks, cheese cubes, etc.)
Refried Beans
Special K Protein Cereal with Fairlife (not low carb if you're doing that)
I can't stand Protein shakes. Yuck.

rolosmom7 got a reaction from catwoman7 in Anybody try Mexican food post on?
Yes. Burrito bowls minus the rice, a local place has a good chicken tortilla Soup (sans tortilla), refried Beans, avocado. I find Mexican the easiest to eat actually.
Italian is a challenge.

I ate them first day out, while still in the hospital, and I've lost like 856 pounds in 3 months, so you'll be just fine. Good luck! Experiment away and post here so everyone will know how the vets have no idea what they're talking about, as well as the doctors and nutritionists.
