LOL that would mean she knew how to cook! No worries there, she won't bring anything but her attitude. She asked me how to assemble a hot dog a few months ago. I kid you not. Best of luck with your family!!!
That is a serious Thanksgiving! How do you feel about giving us all your address? ????

Oh wow!! You poor thing!! To have gone through so much!! That's so amazing that you are finding something to help you! I can't imagine what you ladies go through with endo. I have a friend who suffers from it and no one understands her suffrage. I find that doctors sometimes go to extremes and forgot about trying simple natural solutions. I hope you have a life time of success! Maybe your advice can help rolosmom too!! Thanks for sharing and for caring Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

I have severe endometriosis, diagnosed in my mid twenties and have had 6 surgeries since. I have done soooo much research, I found that dr's shrug off the diagnosis bc they just don't understand it. I figured out that endo is believed to be caused by too much estrogen and not enough progesterone so I started take prometrium (straight up progesterone) 100 mg every day a year ago. They usually only use it to help keep a pregnancy so not being prego my dr questioned me a little bit. But it's been over a year since my last surgery, where the dr said he might have to remove an extremely diseased ovary but left it bc I begged him, I am almost symptom free (knock on wood!!!) I don't know of I can get pregnant I'm 35 and never really thought about it but I'm hopeful it could happen. But for now I'm just trying to be healthy, was sleeved 10/12 and I'm really hoping the weight loss will help my endo stay at bay. Research also points to endo being an inflammatory disease and eating crap food can tend to exacerbate the symptoms so I'm hoping my new diet of mostly Protein will also help.
I'm sorry you're struggling, and I hope things will be looking up for you in the near future!

I eat oatmeal. Maybe I'll back off once I can eat more solids, but for now it goes down well and I can add Protein Powder .

Thank you! I'm 7 weeks post op so we will see what the next year brings - hopefully good things for both of us! I have put off treatment like lupron because of the devastating effects on fertility. It's me constantly wondering what the right thing to do is. Fortunately, I am young but know I have to make a serious decision by 30. I wish you all the best with your WLS and fertility - adoption may not be your first choice but you'd still be a great Mom.

I have endometriosis and a lot of the same concerns - at 27, my husband and I aren't ready to rule out kids. For me weight loss hasn't helped (it actually caused me to have a second surgery from hormone levels). But, just wanted to reach out and let you know you aren't alone!!!
Oh we also have similar stats - I'm 5'10 and started at 310. Want to be 175 or so.

Yes, exactly. I know life happens when it's least convenient - I keep 2 shakes and a bar just in case!

No room for rice - rice expands more in the stomach than other carbs too, I'd advise extreme caution. Does your plan talk about rice?

I just got Fairlife milk at Target yesterday. We were out today so didn't get the chance to try it, but will be for breakfast!!
For those having trouble with nausea, cheese sticks seem to always work for me. That definitely won't help Constipation though.

I keep Protein shakes in the car as a "just in case." I haven't had to use one of them yet, but in these kinds of situations, they would come in handy. What would you do in this same case if you were in the first week or two post-op when you risk injury in eating the salad or chicken? That's the point @@rolosmom7 was trying to make...

rolosmom7 got a reaction from JupiterinVirgo in How did you decide your goal weight, and did you reach it?
185, because that's what I weighed in college. I'm 27 so that's a fair comparison. In college I was on the swim team and kickboxing 3-5 days a week. That put me in a size 10 at 5'10.
I'll re-evaluate if needed, but I have natural curves that have been there forever. My boobs don't drop below a DD. Now the band size - that is a different story! Also, if you do the hand around wrist test for small, medium, or large frame I have a large frame.

I would make sure you're mentally prepared for post op. I'm not sure what your circumstances were, but you did make a choice to eat off plan. Pre-op that can be a slip up, post-op that can be extremely dangerous. Leaks are real.
I suggest you watch the surgery on youtube so you can see just how raw your stomach will be. You will have to make hard choices regardless of circumstances. Make sure you set yourself up for success.
    Best wishes!!

This ^^^ - I can't stand the nasty, fake sweet bars/shakes. I can tolerate oh yeah bars, but I really just want real food. The fake dessert is awful. Birthday cake protein bars??? Come on.

My wedding rings come off! Not in the bad way - they used to have to get windex from the back when I had them cleaned and inspected and now I can just take them off! It's a small miracle [emoji4]

My surgeon has had 1 failure, they drove to the McD around the corner and ate a big mac. I can't imagine, I hurt so badly then. At a week out, that greasy "meat" still sounds nauseating, but I understand how people need food. I have wanted a cheese stick, but am too scared!
