Another lady vote for the boxer briefs! My hubby has some that are sport stretch (or something like that) which give a bit more, uh, banana support.

Turkey and wls friendly sides - green bean casserole, sweet potatoe (without the marshmallows or carmalized glaze), pearl onions, homemade cranberry all come to mind. Skip the rolls and stuffing.
I plan to have a slice of turkey 1 bite of everything else. Save the rolls.

rolosmom7 got a reaction from Recycled in Anyone drive themselves home after surgery?
This is a bad idea - no hospital will discharge you and let you drive yourself home. I recommend a spouse or family member, but at minimum you'd need to call uber or a cab.

No Bralette is supporting us with DDs plus.
I am a F/G depending on the bra and I do have some bralettes but they don't hold me tight enough to provide comfort around the house or anywhere else. I do have some bralettes, but I layer them over bras when I wear tanks and they help cover loose skin under my arms.

Yandy lingerie is cheap, you can buy it while you are losing and if you only wear it once, who cares. They have babydolls for $13 a lot of times. Look for the sales.

I had grits which were on my plan week 4 with some fish and they were horrible! Expanded in my stomach is my guess, but it felt absolutely awful. I have not done grits or cream of wheat since. I am able to eat oatmeal since week 4 and it's good, nice and warm and sits well.

It's not a site where everyone lies to avoid being attacked. Some of us actually take this very seriously and follow instructions and make good choices.

rolosmom7 got a reaction from bluenena2016 in Anxiety and depression
I have anxiety and depression normally, and I went through the roof (more like into the basement) for 2-3 weeks after surgery. I was thirsty and tired, regretting what I had done. My husband couldn't do anything right, even when he was being perfect and I suddenly hated all my family.
It does get better - I'm 8 weeks out now and I have my moments but nothing like before. I also work with a therapist weekly, which is something I recommend to everyone.
    Good luck!

I went back part time after 2 weeks. Full time after 3. It was wayyy too soon. I should've taken my full 6 weeks. I work a desk job.

rolosmom7 got a reaction from tigraq08 in Gaining weight before surgery
It took me 15 months to go from initial visit to surgery. I gained maybe 5 pounds, but my BMI was right at 40 so had to be careful about not losing weight (sounds awful, huh?) - got denied the first time for not having over 3 years of morbidly obese history but my surgeon sent them an appeal letter and I was approved.

rolosmom7 got a reaction from Shell Renewed in 9 weeks post-op and I dislike eating
I get to points where I don't even want to think about food anymore. Tracking and counting and measuring take their toll. It's 100% worth it and I'm not complaining, but it does make me think "screw dinner, I don't even want to deal with it" and then I'm not hungry or interested in food. I'm grateful when those nights are crock pot nights, and dinner is waiting when I get home.
    But you're definitely not alone!!!

I've been at the same weight about 2 weeks now. It's normal (albeit frustrating as hell). I'm 7 weeks out, so stalled around 5 weeks. I don't eat enough Protein, so I'm working on that.
I'm sure your sleeve is awesome and the scale will move in time!

I have WLS for dummies. But mostly I Google recipes. There are plenty from eggface, pinterest, etc. Most of mine are slow cooker meals since it's fall, and I'm a lazy cook [emoji4]

rolosmom7 got a reaction from Telesis in PB banana protein cookies!
So I had 3 bananas that were about to go bad so started looking ways up to use them - here's what I came up with.
    3 bananas, mashed
1 cup Peanut Butter (i use natural, just peanuts and salt)
    1 cup oats
    2 scoops unflavored Protein
Mix and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. It comes out to 80 calories and 6g of Protein per cookie. I can only eat 1. Yum!
