    Feeling regretful

The first couple of weeks were a struggle for me, too! I tried to just sleep when I was tired and do the best I could do when eating. We all have to remember that we made a great choice for our health and nothing happens overnight. We had major surgery and our bodies need to heal and adapt to the new situation. The results will come, we just have to be patient. One of the hardest parts for me (7 weeks out) is that I eat the small amount of food that my pouch can hold, but it tastes so good I want to eat the same amount that I used to before the surgery! And I'm not feeling hunger like I used to, but it does seem weird to not eat for a long period of time... I was never far from a meal pre-surgery! It's all an adjustment, but we are on the right path! Glad to be part of this group to listen and get motivated!

    What's everyone's weightless so far?

We are having similar results! My highest weight was 297, My RNY was 9/28/16 and I weighed 279.9, and now I am 254.2. I stall for a day or two and then lose a couple of pounds. Looking forward to continuing to drop by just sticking with the program!

    Starting to worry

I got out the measuring tape yesterday because I've been weighing myself daily and it slowed to near nothing the other day for a day. The measurements are way down, and I think I need to stop being so focused on the weight (although that is really hard). I feel like I'm doing everything right, but I know it is a huge adjustment for my body. Gotta have patience.

    Looking for a RNY buddy

I had my surgery on 9/28 in NH. I am feeling pretty good. I had a wedding this past weekend, and that was pretty tough to deal with while eating my yogurt and baby food! I was also super tired when I got home. I had been averaging about 1.5 pounds a day loss since the surgery, but it slowed at the wedding. I went into surgery at 279.9 lbs and am currently at 269. I can't wait to eat regular food again!

    Tired all the time

I have the same sort of left side rib pain. It's getting better every day, but I think mine is a combo of muscle/incision site tenderness and gas. I had my surgery on 9/28 and I was so tried today, I felt like I could have slept all day. I know it's part of it, but still tough. Then when I sleep, I feel like I'm getting dehydrated. So much to coordinate just to be "normal." I'm excited to be a few weeks out and have the energy boost I have heard people talk about. I'm already sick of cream of blank soup!

    Any Sept. surgeries?

I'm also two days out and besides the gas pain and feeling like I've done a thousand crunches, I feel pretty good. I am definitely not looking at the scale yet, and am just focused on getting what I need in my body. Good luck to everyone! It will all be worth it!

    Any Sept. surgeries?

I have my surgery on 9/28, like many others above! I'm in NH. I can't wait. I'm on the pre-op diet (day8) and I just took some new measurements, and I'm losing pounds as well as inches. That's exciting and encouraging! I can't wait to continue to see the inches and pounds drop! Woo hoo! Good luck to everyone!!

How much time did you take off work?

I have my surgery on 9/28 (Hooray!) I have a question about driving post-op... my surgery team suggests not driving for two weeks after surgery. That seems kind of impossible with two kids, but I was wondering what people did. Would it be because you lack the stamina or energy? or something else? Please advise! Cheers!

    Whoa!

I am having surgery on September 28! I can't wait. Everyone's advice is so helpful. I can't do artificial sweeteners either, and am glad to know there are others out there that are making it work! I'll have to try my DoTerra oils in my water, too!

    Just had surgery

I am three weeks pre-op and have a question: I have my nephew's wedding to go to 7 days after my surgery and I am so nervous about that. I am nervous about the surgery in general, but I don't know how I will be feeling that soon after. We would be staying in a hotel for two days... ugh! I am excited for the surgery, but it's the unknown! Please let me know what your thoughts are! Thanks so much!
