I've had a couple of the individual sized bags of Skinny Pop, no issues at all. My only mental problem was briefly wishing I had a nice Diet Dr. Pepper to wash it down, but that passed quickly.

When it comes to faces, it does seem like a lot of us go through phases where we look a little sunken and sickly, but it does seem to even out eventually. Age seems to have a lot to do with it. For younger people, the skin and plumpness seem to bounce back eventually in maintenance. For older people, they can end up with some sagging skin in their neck and jowls.
But I will say the same thing about this as I do to the people who fear hair loss and loose skin... no one ever died from it. People die every single day from obesity-related illnesses!

I also do much research prior to my rny gastric bypass on Jan. 10th. I learned I now have a pouch the size of a walnut which is stapled off from the rest of the stomach. The other portion of the stomach food does not go thru. It is still used for enzymes and other digestive juices. Most of the small intestine is cut away and then attached to the pouch. The stomach lining carries most of the grehlin with the small intestine some as well as the pancreas and a few other organs. I am sure you can ask your surgeon to explain the mechanics of one procedure vs the other. The rny is both restrictive and malabsorptive. The vsg is restrictive only. I hope this helps some. My surgeon said due to my gerd the vsg would not be a good choice. It can make the gerd worse. So I followed his expertise. He is very strict on following his recommendations. My surgery went well. But yes, I feel hungry. I believe because the first 10 days have been clear liquid diet. The last 4 days a Protein drink has been added. Tomorrow I start full liquid blenderized diet for 2 weeks. Every surgeon has their own plan to follow. My Dr. Cahill has done well over 6000 bariatric surgeries at the Midwest Center of Bariatrics. Sorry I went on so long. I do know Jello is not on the liquid diet according to my bariatric team. It has substance. My rny was Tuesday morning. My expected release is Friday. Why rush it? We worked hard to get to this point. Agreed, you need to get to your Dr. Good luck. In fact, I just had my scan to check on leakage. I was good. Just got my catherter and drain out. Just started all liquid diet. Mine is going down fine with just sips. I hope you feel better soon. Paula

Hi Crafty. My surgery is Jan. 10th. I have a little fear going on myself. I turned 60 in Nov, 2016. This is my birthday present to myself. My surgery was on the 4th (yesterday ), and I feel fantastic. It's probably the meds, lol. Yesterday I was so out of it, slept off and on all day and night. I did have stomach pain yesterday, but when I found out I could push the button on my pain pump once every ten minutes, not once an hour, the pain was gone within half an hour and stayed gone. I'm sure they told me once every ten minutes from the start, but I was so loopy, everything's a blur. Still a little loopy today, but not too bad. I'm definitely more alert today. My biggest issue has been nausea, but thankfully meds have helped with that and they think it's probably from the anesthesia. I'm getting all my liquids in now that the nausea is gone. I drank ten ounces from 1-2 today. On that note, I highly recommend nectar Protein drinks. You would never know they're Protein Drinks - they taste more like cool laid or cold hot chocolate. I'm also walking laps every hour. Hoping this is the way it will be from here on out. I'm no longer on the iv, so no more dilauded either - I'm on liquid meds now.
