  1. I'm 5"3 when I first started in September I weighed 243. I lost 5lbs before meeting surgeon. I met surgeon in Oct. he gave me a surgery goal weight of 227. I followed my diet and reached 227 by 1st of November. I was afraid to lose to much before final meeting with surgeon so I maintained my weight to around 224 - 225. Started my pre-op diet a week ago yesterday. Met surgeon for final consult. This morning weighed 219.4. Have 5 days to go till surgery. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App
  2. Looks like you got a good plan. Maybe we're not understanding what you need? My pre-op 2 wk diet No fruits, sugars, starches 2 shakes per day High protien and a vegetable for dinner. Minimum of 64 ounces of Fluid a day. One wk out from surgery. No Vitamins or supplements, that includes any with drinks in them . Does this help? 5. I have mine next Thursday. I have noticed my emotions are running rampant. Lol. One minute excited. The next anxious then scared on and on. I did get a tip from my therapist. It was when you find yourself thinking about bad things that could happen immediately think of a good thing. Ex. "I'm freaking crazy for going through this" "I'm going to enjoy being able to buy all those cute clothes". It really has helped me stay on course. Not to chicken out. 6. Could it just be hunger that causes your migraines? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App
  7. Try pressing/clutching a pillow to your abdomen when you cough or sneeze. A nurse gave me this tip when I had my gallbladder removed. It worked for me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App
  8. Maybe try "thank you for saying that" "I've been working really hard to be at the healthy wait my doctor has suggested for me" " When I reach my healthy goal weight. I will maintain then." These are going to be my lines Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App
  9. I'm on the 9th too. Only 6 more days!!
  10. I'd say, give it up now. Carbonated drinks are not going to be your friend or go to drink after surgery. Best to say bye-bye now.
  11. Great job. You'll be at goal before you know it.
  12. Think about all the positives that will come from this.
  13. Don't tell her till after.
  14. My surgeon said to start with warm or room temperature fluids. Explained cold fluids cause stomach to stiffen which can cause problems. Are you getting your protien? Your body needs at minimum 30 grams for healing. For my 2 wks post-op diet. I'm to drink at least one Premier Protien shake and 2 bottles of water. Also if you don't feed your body properly you will not have any energy. It's like trying to drive a car without gas. Hope things turn around for you soon.
  15. Hey haven't you heard fifties are the new thirties? Lol I'm turning 50 in March.
  16. I wonder why your page says NO slim fast or ensure? Hmmm? So I had to buy food from my Dr's office and a majority of it is disgusting. I've been kinda cheating and drinking an Ensure for Breakfast or lunch the last few days because I just can't tolerate that gross food 3 meals a day. I have researched other diets online and none are as restrictive as the ones they're giving us Samsung Galaxy S7 How much sugar in Ensure? I drink premier protien. 1 gram sugar and 30 grams protien.
  17. Kaiser insurance. No co-pay for surgery. Blessed to have it.
  18. Kaiser (whom I'm with) doesn't have a puree stage. We go to a limited selection of soft foods. We also can only have protien shakes and water for 2 weeks after surgery. No broths or soups.
  19. Congratulations for all your hard work and taking care of yourself. Would you mind sharing your complications after your surgery? Are you still experiencing any complucations?
  20. I'm on day 4 only 10 more to go. I see my surgeon on Tuesday to firm up which surgery is best for me.
  21. Day 3 pre-op diet same as yours. I find drinking fluids helps alot with the hunger. I had a total of 116.9 oz today. You just have to set your mind to do it. Good luck Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App
