Clear liquids pre op question

Thoughts on clear zero calorie/zero carb, carbonated beverages for pre op? I know post op carbonation is a NO NO. I'm on a 8 day clear liquid diet before surgery, a little fizz in my drink would go a long way right about now lol

      I'd say, give it up now. Carbonated drinks are not going to be your friend or go to drink after surgery. Best to say bye-bye now.

    +1 for asking your surgeon/nut, but I would also agree that it's best to eliminate it now so you are also not struggling with these cravings post-op.
