  1. My reasons for being overweight are many: Genetics, poor eating habits, fast food, and sweets. Once I retired I gained even more because I wasn't doing much which let to depression. I got help for depression and finally started feeling better. My health has suffered from my weight so I knew it was time for a change. Being a yo yo dieter I knew that I had to stop and get help. thus I decided to get WLS. I have surgery in 7 days on 9/11.
  2. I love pumpkin too. So I will try some of these ideas after my surgery 9/11.
  3. So happy surgery went well for you @ chasinpolaris321!
  4. I am on week two of pre-op diet. I don't like this diet at all. Its 3 protein shakes a day and only sugar free jello or Popsicle. I get hungry a lot. I do wonder if my hunger is from my brain versus my stomach. I'm a week out for surgery (9/11) and I'm just really anxious. I hope this week goes fast.

  20. Hi @monica8773 , My surgery is 9/11 and I start my pre-op diet on 8/28. I have tried premier protein, Click protein powder, Bariartic Pal fusion powder and Medifast powder. My surgeon has me taking premier protein and I do like it. Hope this gives you an idea of different protein powders out there.

  24. 08/24/17 Good Afternoon, I'm having a panic attack over my surgery. I just found out that I have to check in at 6 am in San Francisco which means we have to leave here by 4:40 am. My husband will drive me down but he won't stay with me because he hates hospitals. His first wife diet from heart complications in 2006 and he just can;t be in hospitals for long now. So, I will be alone before my surgery which has got me upset. I will be in the hospital for 3 days with no one to come see me because I am so far away. No one can drive down to see me because all my friends and my brother are working. I'am just feeling lost today and I have no where else I can express my feelings. Thanks for letting me vent.
  25. I believe that there are a few of you on 9/12. I am on 9/11 at UCSF.
