  1. I like the idea of sugar free syrups to add to my protein shakes. Thanks
  2. HI, Take a look at Amazon.com because they have plenty of weight loss journals available.
  3. I am addicted to Diet Coke. I have stopped drinking it because I figured that I better do that before surgery. I can understand the soda can cause some people to eat more because the food goes through pouch faster and makes you hungry faster. I have read about people drinking soda after surgery and gaining weight. Why take a chance?
  4. Does everybody have to do a liquid diet before surgery?
  5. Oh yes the junk food cravings are bothering me too. I have so far been able to avoid such foods. However, if someone brought donuts to work I might have a hard time too.
  6. I'm trying to get my kitchen stocked with the foods I need after surgery. I don't need to do that until it gets closer to September 11. I have also given up Diet Coke (3 days now) and I am trying different types of protein shakes.
  7. Hello @cookiemax when is your surgery?
  8. I just got my insurance approval for RNY on September 11, 2017 in San Francisco, CA..
  9. I have Anthem also. I just got approval for my gastric bypass. I had to get multiple letters from my PCP and go through a checklist of tests before I could be approved.
  10. I am having RNY on September 11, 2017 in San Francisco, California.
  11. I am sorry about your nausea, so I hope it gets better fast. I worry about the nausea but I will just have to deal with it. Cheers
  12. Hi all, This is a long journey to get to surgery at least that has been my experience. I start my liquid diet on August 28th. How is the liquid diet for you?
  13. I'm in Sonoma so i'm sure we can help each other out. Zallykatz
  14. MissT_SR I have just cut my calories. I am using protein shakes and eating small portions. I am hungry but I hope after surgery that I won't be. I also didn't feel that I was losing anything until I stepped on the scale.
  15. I'm waiting for Anthem BCBS to okay the surgery. My doctor seems to think that I have done everything on the list so I hope so. I did have to go through the hoops of 6 months working with my PCP on a diet. So I understand the feelings of waiting. I have my surgery September 11. Good Luck
  16. I would love to be your buddy. I'm in California.
  17. I have Anthem and I have had to do 6 months with my PCP about weight loss. My surgeon said that I had done all the requirements so I keep my fingers crossed. I have surgery in early September.
  18. I tried the Plant Based diet after cancer surgery. I do not like vegetables but I learned to like cauliflowerand broccoli. I lost about 5 pounds on this diet. I found the diet to be difficult because I do not like tofu and leafy greens. One positive thing that came out of the diet is I like vegetables more. I am looking forward to my surgery in September.
  19. I am feeling excited, scared, hopeful and positive.
  20. Hi I'm in Sonoma and my surgery is September 11. Lets connect. Zallykatz76
