  2. And then I have friends who tell me they could have driven themselves home. I guess everyone is different
  3. I guess I should say the way I’ve planned it is 2 weeks off, work one day then another week off. That’s how my schedule falls.
  4. I got the word yesterday, my insurance approved me for RNY! Yay! Question for the masses. Is it too lofty a goal to plan to return to work 2 weeks post op? I’m a nurse who doesn’t do a lot of physical work.

  6. Hernia repair or Nissen fundoplication, that would also help explain the change in eating.

  10. Apparently I'm the only one who feels they will be sabotaged by the food channel. Haha!
  11. I'm pretty sure if I ever want to be successful at weight loss, I'm going to have to delete the food channel. My husband watches it constantly

  13. I guess I'll just wait and see. I've had sooooo many conflicting answers between insurance, coordinator and friends. If it happens, it happens

  15. When I emailed Anthem, they told be weight loss surgery is not a covered benefit. I know this is not true as my friend and co-worker is the bariatric coordinator at another program. I guess I'll do the same and see what happens when time to submit. If I need 2 more months then so be it.
  16. I went for my first appointment about a week ago. Had the majority of the testing required for insurance. When I met with the patient coordinator she told my my insurance required 4 months of nutrition and exercise counseling. I thought it was 6 months (I have Anthem BCBS). Does anyone else have Anthem? What have you been told?
