  1. Thanks for the "shout-outs" everyone! Its been a rough day - I've been hungry all day . Is this normal? Could it be that my post surgical stomach swelling has gone away & I haven't had a fill yet? I look at the progress on everyone's tickers & it is encouraging me to hang in there.
  2. Congrats!!! :banana Best of luck. You're going to love your new life!
  3. Congrats Victoriana!! Its an exciting journey. I was banded 12 days ago & I'm loving it!
  4. DeLarla, So sorry to hear about your loss. I went through the same heartbreaking experience with my baby boy, Reese. I also had him for 15 wonderful years. I was 3 months pregnant with my first baby. I was so distraught, my family & friends were afraid that I would have a miscarriage. Please know that in time, it does get better. If you need to talk, write me any time.
  5. Hey Texfella! I'm new too & also from Houston . I was banded on 11/17 & happy to say, so far, so good!!! Good luck to you!
  6. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie from Houston, TX. I was banded on 11/17/05. I'm really excited that I found this site. I have been reading a lot of the posts & I find comfort in knowing that I'm not the only one out there. As for my family and friends, they are all very supportive, but cannot relate to my experiences with the band. Good luck to everyone & I look forward to hearing from some of my fellow bandsters out there!
  7. Even though I was just banded on Nov 17th - I am THRILLED with my progress!!! I was up walking around 2 hours after surgery & hardly had to take any pain medication. Kept all of my fluids down & amazingly enough, my appetite was satisfied with the liquid diet for the first week. I'll be honest, day 2 after surgery was a little rough. I asked my family if they got the license plate of the truck that hit me! Day 3 was much better. By day 4, I went back to work. I would feel a little weak from time to time, but nothing that a protein shake didn't take care of. I really listened to my body - when I was tired, I would rest. I'm in the soft food stage now & continue to not have any problems. I hope that my experience, as little as it is, will encourage you. Best of luck to you.
  8. Was banded on Nov 17th - it went great! A lot easier than I anticipated. No regrets! Best of luck to you!!
