Dr B does do the surgery and the consult. He has not had one erosion since he has been doing lap band surgery which really put my mind at ease. Dr Maas did my mom's surgery but she is going to switch to dr b office and see if he can see her and his office start doing her fills. Dr B has the surgery center do the fills and from what I have heard they are very good. I have not had my first fill yet I go in Jan 18 for mine. I have been very pleased with Dr B and his staff they are very nice and always there to answer any of your questions. If you need any other info please let me know. Karla:Bunny

Kim i know all about the myocel and no matter what you mix with it still taste nasty. I just kept telling myself only for a few weeks. I didnt use it after surgery I switched to the atkins which taste much better. I just couldnt do the myocel anymore. Keep me posted on how you are doing. I go in for my first fill on 1/18 so I am interested to see how that will go. My incisions are healing very well and I think i will have a very small hairline scars. Dr B did a great job, still a little sore around the port area but other than that I am feeling better every day. I started walking and feel great. I hope your felling better ladysplenda. I will make sure I drink my Water that has been hard to remember. I am keeping myself busy and forget to drink my water like I need too. Take care. K

Hi Julie I too was banded on 12-22. This site is very good and I have learned a lot before I has my surgery. The bloating and gas is normal and it will pass. I am taking gas x which has helped me. My bloating has gone down and yesterday I was able to walk twice around my block with my girls. Christmas was hard but I know this will be all worth it in the end. Congratulations and think how awesome we are going to look this time next year. Karla

Just wanted to know how the recently banded have been doing? So far I have not had a whole lot of trouble with the gas. I have been sipping on broth and Protein shakes. Still a little sore but it is slowly easing. Hope eveyone has a safe and merry Christmas. I know us newbies will be drinking our broth for Christmas dinner I just keep telling meself this is only one day and it will pass quickly. A holiday hug to eveyone Karla;-)

I am back and banded. Little sore but other than that doing ok. I just have this tickle in my throat that will not go away I keep sipping water but it is still there. It is more annoying than bothersom. Thanks for your suuport and I am soo looking forward to shopping for new clothes and being healthier:)

Thank you all this really gives me an idea as to how much time I will take off. I have a desk job as well but I just dont want to sit there miserable all day. I will take a week maybe 2 if the doc will allow me to:) Karla

Thank you for replying back, I just hear that you have the surgery like on a Friday and then back to work on Monday and to me that just seems so soon. My mom had the surgery and I remember being super sore to even walk. I just dont want my dr having me go back if I dont feel up to it. Karla

This may have been asked before so if it has please forgive me. How long were you off of work to recover from surgery after the lap band? My surgery is scheduled for this coming Thursday and I am so nervous. Karla

Thanks for the info, I am getting very nervous. A month ago I thought it was going to be forever until my surgery date and now I am a few days away. I have been doing pretty good on my pre op and staying away from carbs, greasy, fried, sweets and no sodas. The Myocel is YUCK to me no matter what I mix it with still tastes nasty to me. My wonderful hubby is taking off two days to care for me and my awsome mom is taking my kids so that I dont have to worry. I have a lot of support for which I am so grateful for. Keep me updated on your recovery and how things are going. It is nice to find somone on here that has the same doctor:) Karla
