  12. 6 week update: Down to 252. So officially 10 pounds down. I feel good. Clothing is fitting better. Snacking habit broken. More energy from eating better foods.
  13. Thank you for the support! Once I put my mind back in track it’s actually felt really good to refocus and put myself 1st. I've also been much more aware of medications and side effects that affect weight and advocating to not use them. I should have listened to my guy originally, I would have saved myself a lot of pain.

  18. So I’ve never been a big fan of the gym. I literally hate going. But, I love taking nice long walks so once the weather breaks I will be walking daily. I usually do a mile every day at lunch at work and then 3-4 miles after work 2-3 days a week!

  20. We chose to eat at home instead of takeout. The kids really wanted pizza so we ordered a small pie for them and the husband and I went with turkey burgers on the grill with lettuce buns
  21. I’m 8 1/2 years out and I’ve had no issues with my surgery or eating. I do get iron injections but I’ve been anemic for decades. Everyone is going to “know someone” who had a horrible outcome, but that can be about anything. Keep you head up and keep working the program
  22. Hi all! I had VSG back in Dec of 2016. I was very involved in this community for a long time. I lost 124 pounds over about 18 months and maintained a 105-110 pound weight loss for almost 3 years. Then the pandemic hit. Then I had some non related medical issues. I went on a medication that caused weight gain. I got frustrated. I fell off the wagon and tumbled down the road and I’m now facing a 60 pound weight gain in about 4 years. I made a lot of excuses! I also started picking up bad habits like drinking alcohol, not counting calories and indulging in carb heavy snacks. But hitting 260+ again shook me. I was only 15 pounds down from my surgery weight. It’s time to get off the pity wagon and get back on track. so I’m back. I’m counting calories. Eating low carb. Cutting almost all alcohol, bread as pasta out! 10 days down, forever to go! My Stats: SW: 305 SD: 275 LW: 181 MW: 195-200 RW: 263 CW: 258 GW: 200
  23. The past 6 months have been hard and I've completely gotten off track. I hit maintenance at about 15 months post op and was maintaining at 180-182 pounds. I was happy with that and my doctor was to since I was within 5 pounds of my goal. Well I got complacent and allowed old habits back in and I've gained 10 pounds in the last 6 months. I decided part of getting back on track is getting my support system back so I'm logging back in here and going to meetings again locally. I've started tracking food again and I'm back exercising. The hardest part has been snacking. I tracked my daily log a few weeks ago and I was eating so much because I was just snacking way to much. I'm back down to 1,000-1200 calories a day per my NUT suggestion. Its so hard but I know I can do it. I'm hoping to get plastic surgery in the near future so that is my goal.

  25. September 2015 at 290 or so vs last weekend at 186. I’m currently 11 pounds from goal but I’ve been stalled since February
  26. Just wanted to share my most recent before/current HW was 301lbs in July 2016, though it could have been a little more since I didn't weigh regularly. SW: 271 (12/30/16) CW: 185 GW: 175, then reassess. The left picture was October 2016 at about 275 lbs while working my pre-op diet. The right was Monday at 185 lbs.
  27. I use Baritastic for my tracker and I find that it's pretty tailored to people who have had bariatric surgery. Also check with your program because they might offer support groups. Mine does 3 a month and I still try to attend at least once monthly. It really keeps me on track and I love chatting with people who are experiencing the same thing.
  28. Thank you! She must be pretty great
  29. Almost a year post op!! HW: 301 SW: 271 CW: 189 (currently bouncing between 187-190)
