  1. I'm getting at least 60 Protein and pretty sure my Fluid is good as well, just sip all day long! Thanks for the quick response! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I was sleeved on 8/30 and am on pureed as well. My story and fears are almost identical and I'm not even as far out. Are you still losing? I'm eating comfortably and getting full but I can easily eat 4-6 ounces. Some of my staples are Premier Protein shakes (one alone and I make one mixed with a cup of coffee and put it over crushed ice and sip on it for a few hours), grits, sf pudding, strained chicken noodle Soup and that's about all. I've lost about 15 pounds but I do seem to be slowing down some now. (I was a low BMI to start). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I am 11 days out and doing well - maybe too well?! I'm averaging around 500-600 calories a day made up of 2 Protein shakes, sf chocolate pudding, chicken noodle Soup strained, grits and Triple Zero Oikos. Is this too many calories too soon? I'm down 15 pounds but it seems to be slowing down some (which is fine), I just want to be sure I'm not over-doing it. Is this about what most of you experienced? 4. Ditto - I noticed when I passed 50, those stupid bat wings showed up! Not sure exercise can tighten that, can it? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Just had my 1 week checkup and then went to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner. Ordered chicken Noodle Soup (strained) and some mashed potatos. Ate about 6 spoonfuls of soup and 5 or 6 bites of the mashed potatos. I have to tell you, they were both amazing and I pushed away from the table feeling like I had just finished my Thanksgiving meal! Immediately got a headache because I think I ate too much. What a blessing this sleeve is! I walked away fully satisfied (and more) and have leftovers for 3 or 4 more meals! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. How did your surgery go? Everything turn out ok? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G928A using the BariatricPal App Yes, everything went great! I'm one week out and other than the incisions being there (no pain or anything) I wouldn't even have known I had surgery. Keep thinking I'm going to feel a restriction but I guess since I'm not on solids yet, I don't. Have felt a tiny bit hungry twice but nothing that a Premier Protein didn't fix. How are you? Fill me on the details! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Yea, I'm not necessarily hungry for a grilled cheese sandwich or willing to mess up what I've done, I was just stating how strange it feels. I expected this to be more difficult and more restricted feeling. It does make it easier to make good choices. I'm one week post op and have lost 20.3 pounds. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I literally feel like I could go make a grilled cheese sandwich right now and eat the whole thing and wouldn't feel any different than before! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I am one week post op ... And feel much the same way you do. I forgot I had had the surgery at one point today during a meeting and found myself gulping my Water and then realized what I had done and froze, just waiting for the pain to hit ... And nothing. I started thinking the same thing as you - did I get duped!? Lol! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Have taken acid reflux Meds daily for the last year or so. They took me off of them beginning the day of surgery. I am one week post op and haven't had a single episode since before surgery. Have any other experienced the same and when (if at all) were you put back on your Meds? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was sleeved last Tuesday and went back today (Tuesday), had plenty of energy to do my job. Felt great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. What were some of your basic go to' for food options in your second week post op? I'm mainly doing Soups and shakes. Would love to add at least a little variety. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. When I use the Isopure Protein powder, I mix it with tap Water first and make sure it's completely liquified, no lumps. It's at this point you can add it to your final product (soup, drinks, etc). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am one week post op tomorrow and have convinced myself that I will be "the" one that this won't work for. The crazy part about it is that I know I have what it takes to eat the limited portions (basically forced now) and that I will follow the "rules" but just have it in my head that I've lost all I'm going to lose. Crazy fears! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Blu2020 - how far out are you? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I can tell you it's not at one week! I am so sleepy I can't keep my eyes open! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Yeah that Magnesium Citrate will do it every time!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. My surgeon allowed coffee as one of my clear liquid pre and post surgery. I am 6 days out and I mix 1/2 scoop of Isopure Protein with some cold vanilla creamer and then pour that info my coffee. I'm thrilled because coffee keeps me "moving" if you know what I mean. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App That's funny! I've a fellow bypass friend who literally make a concoction each and every morning- she's a school teacher and said it lasts her to lunch. She uses one Premier Protein shake, a scoop of unflavored protein, an equal amount of coffee to the premier shake, squirts in some SF Torini syrup- whatever her mood fancies that day- some SF FF sweet cream Coffemate and tons of ice. shakes it up and keeps it on her desk and drinks all morning. That's a lot of work for a cuppa but a bariatric gal has to do what she has to do. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Love this! Can you find out how many grams of protein she counts for this? I think this is going to be my new habit ASAP! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. I feel the same way. I feel like some of those other people that ask "did he really remove 80% of my stomach?" .... In al seriousness, I know he did, but it's crazy that I can sip the Premier Protein's and have been eating the Soups for meals, which technically isn't until Tuesday. I just couldn't stomach the clear broths and all fluids any more. I hope I don't mess anything up but I'm not uncomfortable and just sipping everything slowly. 21. 5 days since surgery HW 198 SW 190 CW 180 GW 145 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Try to relax ... Stress can cause your body to lock up. Deep breathing, prayer and just knowing that when the right time IS the right time, nothing can stop it from happening. You got this! Relax! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I couldn't have driven myself. I had a 3 1/2 hour drive on Thursday (surgery was Tuesday) and I could still feel the anesthesia in my system until Saturday. The ride wasn't bad but no I wouldn't plan on driving yourself. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I had 4 ... 3 for instruments and 1 in my belly button where they removed the stomach. No pain on the incision sites at all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I went to subway and strained their chicken noodle Soup. Then, I bought some Protein Water and poured it over ice and have been sipping and chewing soft ice off and on all day. Had 1 bite of sf chocolate pudding and 2 sips of Premier Protein shake. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
