Considering sleeve
My husband did not like the idea either. He joined me at an informational seminar and it made him not like it even more lol! I approached my journey (to myself and to him) that i will go through all the hoops, but will not make a final decision yet. I was undecided for more than half the process, and slowly moved toward acceptance that this is what i want to do. My husband watched and joined my process, and he, too, came around and supported me. I am now 2 months post sleeve, and am so so happy i went through with it. make it a great day

Weight regain 42%?
Hello! I saw my surgeon's NP today for 8 week postop. She scared the wits out of me when she told me that 42 percent of patients gain a significant amount of weight back. That is an incredibly high number!! She also told me that the surgery only "lasts" for 9-12 months. After that, you're basically back to being on your own as far as using the sleeve as a tool. WTH?? Is this really true? Anyone past the one year mark that can reassure me that these are just scare tactics?! Or if it is true, then I guess I want to hear that confirmation, too...???? make it a great day

I'm dying inside!
You must have had a reason to go ahead with major abdominal surgery. Maybe you need to revisit why you decided to have surgery and to focus on the goal. Good luck! make it a great day

Eating too fast.. Aaarrgh!
Thanks so much for all the responses! I dont feel as alone in my struggle! I really thought i was the only one who doesn't learn from mistakes! After i ate too fast a couple of times, i thought I had surely learned my lesson! But, no! I had to repeat the same insanity! Again. And again. And again. But just hearing all of your support is already helping me focus more on slowing down. Thanks to all of you!???? make it a great day

Eating too fast.. Aaarrgh!
Hello! I am 8 weeks post op now and STILL having trouble eating slow! I am a busy mom of 5 and I just don't have the patience required to stretch a meal over 30 minutes. So, many times, I eat too fast and then get sick. Anyone else struggling with this? Any practical tips? I use baby utensils, but still too fast... make it a great day
