  2. Thank you all for your responses! You gave me so much real information... I appreciate it. What I'm hearing is that the restriction does stay on some level, but it's easy to eat around it. Therefore, my new eating and exercise habits are super important. I worked out at the gym 5 days this week... Applause, anyone? make it a great day

  4. I saw my surgeon's nurse this week for a 5 month follow up. She told me the effects of the sleeve lasts only 9 months. WTH?? Would my insurance really pay thousands for such a short term solution?? I get that a lot depends on my new, healthier habits, but does the help from the sleeve really go away that quickly? Hope I can get some clarification from all of you... make it a great day

  12. If you were a woman, you would have understood the joke the way it was meant to be understood. Lipstick lady was NOT commenting on your weight. Pregnant women have strange cravings and the classic joke about these cravings is "pickles & ice cream combo". You mentioned you like to have pickles with yogurt, which sounds similar. Anyways, how would she know whether or not you are "fat"? If you are on this forum, there's a good chance you are at goal! make it a great day

  15. Hi, all! I am almost 3 months post sleeve and i am having so much trouble getting in my fluids! I can't stand the taste of any artificial sweeteners, so no Powerade zero, no crystal lite, no Water enhancers... Plain water hurts my tummy. juice diluted with water is ok, but I'm not thrilled with the calories. The only thing that goes down well for me is decaf coffee or ice coffee. Anyone else struggles with this? Any good ideas or solutions? My NUT recommended fruit infused water. Does that taste ok? Thanks in advance for your response and advice... make it a great day

  17. So, i didn't die. Don't know anyone who did. Any surgery has risks. The benefits have to outweigh the risks in each personal situation. Maybe a discussion with your docs can shed light on your particular situation. Good luck! make it a great day
