Not behaving myself...
Ok. So I know that by posting this, I'm opening myself up to lots of backlash and criticism... But i will still go ahead with this post because I really do need words of advice, wisdom... I am 2 weeks out from surgery. I knew very clearly that surgery will not be the magic pill. I knew I would have to work very hard making good food choices, eating slowly, and eating the right amount. But... I have frequently been making bad food choices and forgetting to eat slowly. Each time this happens I deal with lots of pain and sometimes vomit. I feel that there is a disconnect between my brain and my mouth. I know what I'm supposed to be doing. I know this is the only way to succeed post vsg , but I am still having a hard time putting it into practice... Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

Tail bone pain
Maybe it's the reduction of "padding" that's giving you this issue? Sitting will be different with weight loss Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

How long does the process take?
Hope all goes well! Some insurances require a few months of medically supervised weight loss before they approve. Some don't require that... My ins had me do 6 months of medically supervised weight loss. When that was completed, I had my surgery about a month later. Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

Messed up TOM?
Hey, all! I had my sleeve done July 11 and had to come off my birth control pills because of the risk of blood clots. So, usually when i come off my pills, i would have my TOM a couple of days after. This time, a couple of days after surgery I stained a tiny bit and that was it! Does this surgery mess with our cycles?? I apologize for the TMI... Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

Anyone in education getting sleeved?
I teach , too, so i scheduled (and had) my surgery on july 11 to give me plenty of time to recover before the new school year kicks in. I'm only 8 days postop and my energy is returning, but not to its fullest yet. Of course, there's also the lifting restrictions... Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App

When there are donuts, cookies, and brownies in the office...
I was warned about the social eating issues after sleeve. I try to shift my focus to PEOPLE rather than food. Meet someone new... Chat with someone who seems alone... Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App
