  1. I am a month out of vsg and am dealing with very hard, dry bm. Any advice?
  2. Awesome awesome results! You are an inspiration#
  3. Sorry you're struggling. I was advised to make fluids my first priority, even before protein. You won't have complications this early if you don't meet your protein goals, but you will have complications from not meeting fluid goals. Make it a priority! Sip sip sip. Hope it gets easier for you!
  4. Hi, all! I am 3 weeks post sleeve surgery. Of course, I am only in the beginning stages of my weight loss but I've been going to the gym religiously and doing whatever I'm allowed to at this point in my recovery. Just thinking ahead... Are there specific exercises that can help reduce loose skin while I'm in the losing stage? I'm unable to lift weights now but I will be able to next week. Just looking to be proactive in this journey and looking for ideas from our veterans. Thank you!
  5. Baritastic is a great app to log fluid intake, protein etc. And this one (bariatricpal) is wonderful!
  6. Yup. You can only make those changes on a computer
  7. Congrats on your weight loss!
  8. Amy, you are embarking on a journey that will lead you to a healthier, happier life and will be the start of a new life for yourself. It's a huge step and can be very scary, but so many of us have done this and wish we had done it sooner. Quality of life goed up in so many ways. I am totally with you in the "food is my friend" thing. It's difficult and normal to go through some mourning. I am 17 days postop from sleeve and still finding my way through figuring out which foods feel okay and which ones to avoid, even if they may be allowed. It's not easy but very worth it. Keep strong and reach out for support
  9. I brought makeup with me and used it! Just did my eyes and used blush, but i feel much better when i look good
  10. Are you postop? I had my surgery on July 11 and i feel the same way. I would much rather just stick to fluids and skip eating. But... We have to get our protein in order to heal properly. My nutritionist told me today: look at food like medicine. You just gotta get it down! Good luck!
  11. Thank you for your reply!
  12. Great vent! U sound very ready to take charge of ur life! Hope all goes well and smooth for you. I has vsg 16 days ago and while there are struggles, I'm so glad that i did this and that I'm on the "other side". Good luck to you!

  17. Thank you for your support! I'm open to hearing your opinion on what I'm doing wrong, but gentle please Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App Nope. I'm not "gentle" by nature. Sounds to me like you KNOW what you are doing wrong. Nothing I can tell you and nothing your team can tell you if you choose not to do it. You just have to make up your mind to it and make it happen! Ouch. You are so right! Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App
  18. Thank you for the feedback. By pointing out the leak risk and danger, you've given me a strong deterrent. I hope that can keep me in check... I really appreciate this forum and everyone who takes the time to answer questions and give advice! Sent from my LGMS345 using the BariatricPal App
