    Pain in belly

If you haven't checked in with your surgeon I would definitely do that first, but you might try some gas X Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  2. Wow, that's impressive, any chance you have a bother with similar capabilities?
  3. Hi I am 48 and had gastric sleeve surgery in Mexico at the OCC on May 25th. I I think I bounced back quickly I return to work after 1 week. I am a hairdresser so I kept my days short and came home and napped or went to bed early for a good month why my energy level gradually increased. I did have a little buyer's remorse around the first month because eating solid foods again just made me nauseous. That only lasted for a month or so I can now eat just about anything I want except for spicy food does not settle well with me. I have a lot of trouble getting my all my Water requirement in but fine when I do poorly at this I get constipated so it is become a priority. I started at 267 pounds and have lost 66 pounds so far so I'm very pleased with this results and I am still losing and I rather consistent rate. Even though there are the Stalls in weight loss every now and then I try not to get discouraged I'm told everyone experiences this. Overall still happy that I had this procedure. HELP!Gastroparesis before getting band

I had pretty bad gastric reflux before sleeve surgery. During my procedure my doctor noticed I had a hiatal hernia and was able to fix it while he was in there. Reflux is not a problem anymore :-) Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  6. Good for you , glad you're feeling so well , I was right there with you feeling practically no pain even went shopping on Revolution Boulevard in Mexico 2 days after my surgery. When I returned to work one week post surgery I put in half days and went home and took a long nap each day the fatigue finally did catch up to me but never had any of the other complications so I hope your good health and energy continues. when and if you do feel tired follow the signs your body is giving you and REST Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  7. I can relate to about 90% of what you are concerned about and did experience some buyer's remorse the first couple weeks after surgery now 48 days post op and eating solid foods again. I was hesitant to give up the food because I found comfort in it but as I lose weight find I don't need as much comfort. I too had my surgery in Mexico at the Obesity Control Center with dr. Ariel Ortiz. I'm not sure where you're going but they were wonderful and are available to email with questions at any time the surgeon will even reply personally. I didn't really go through a facilitator just directly with the clinic and that brought the cost down considerably because they get their percentage. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  8. You are healing , that is why your stomach hurts and why you are so tired. You sound like hey busy working mom that is exhausting in itself. I came home and napped almost everyday after work for the first month I'm at about 48 days post off and and just feeling my energy return. There are still a lot of foods that I cannot tolerate. So I always go for the Protein shakes as a backup Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Puréed diet hacks

To thicken my Soups I used some steamed zucchini. I pureed It and added it to a lot of different soups it doesn't have a lot of flavor so it just makes a good base. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Not losing weight

Hi we should be buddies had my procedure May 26th also, my highest weight was 268 my surgery weight was 250 and I am only at 232 so I have lost only 18 pounds since surgery. I too feel it should be coming off much faster and don't know why everyone else seems to be losing a pound or more a day and I am less than a half a pound a day. I feel I am taking in very few calories and for a whole week I didn't lose anything was feeling quite discouraged myself. I'm sure it's got to come off considering I'm only consuming a fraction of what I used to and my energy level is starting to increase. Was wondering if being post-menopausal has anything to do with me losing weight slower??? But that's a whole nother topic :-) Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App How much Protein are you getting? How about fluids? Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App I will make that a priority to get more protein in. I know I haven't been getting enough. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Things you wish you'd known.

What exactly is food revulsion? I am 45 days post op and I'm having trouble finding things I want to eat and I'm actually afraid of eating solid foods still. I am supplementing with the Protein shakes, my nutritionist says I should be trying to solid foods everyday but I haven't been able to make this happen yet, working on it. Need advice - luncheon Sunday - What do I do?

There will likely be some salads there that you can mash up like a potato salad or bean salad use your fork and smash it good before you eat it. also you might call the hostess and ask if you can bring something it is not uncommon to want to contribute to a luncheon. Or just show up with a contribution like my mother said never go to somebody's house with empty hands :-) good luck. I had to do the same thing for my 30 year Highschool reunion that was just three weeks post-op. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I've been stuck on the 3-week stall I didn't know it was a thing but for the last week I have not lost any weight and was getting very discouraged. Couldn't understand how I could be taking in so few calories and not losing but I do feel it's going to start dropping again looking forward to it. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
