I am curious if anyone has been approved in Florida with Humana Medicaid having gastroparesis? I have heard that's what the gastric sleeve was first used for. My BMI is 36.5 and I have severe gastroparesis and really bad acid reflux. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

I am thinking of getting lap band but I have Gastroparesis and severe acid reflux. I'm just trying to find someone who has had gastroparesis prior to getting lap band and if it has made it worse or better? I have read where a lot of people have developed gastroparesis after getting the band and surely don't want to make it any worse and pay all that money and have to get it removed. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis a few years ago and am considering getting the lap band and I'm wanting to talk to someone else that had gastroparesis before getting the lap band and find out if they had any problems or complications because of it. And I also have severe acid reflux. I feel like it would help my gastroparesis but have been reading some things that are making me think otherwise now.
