I am 9 days out of surgery. My belly feels like its going to explode. It hurts. What should I do besides walk .

If you haven't checked in with your surgeon I would definitely do that first, but you might try some gas X

It sound like you may be constipated a little bit. Try some magnesium citrate powder. It is a very gentle stool softener and laxative. You might want to take smaller sips or spread them a little further apart. I had that feel a few times. That's what I did and it helped drastically.

How long did it take before it helped ? I am taking it no luck yet day 2 of taking it

Usually 48 hours but it's gentle so I would keep taking it until you have a movement. Has anything changed?
