  3. LOL... Kickboxer that is too funny! I was banded Dec 8th and get the "pooters" too! I'll be glad when all that "trapped" air moves on too!
  4. Hi Linda, I'm a gum chewer too and have to be very careful not to swallow it....one of the nurses said that gum will not digest. If it does'nt get passed the band, the surgeon would have to go in and get it.
  5. BBQ!!! If you need another taster, I'll be more than happy to help! Way to go on your weightloss!
  6. Well, know I know why I get the gurgling sounds!
  7. Hey Pete! You're doing wonderful! Keep up the good work! You're face looks so much smaller already!
  8. You could also try adding shredded turkey or beef to it...for Protein.
  9. I have a lot of energy also...so much so that I started learning how to bowl (they call me "gutter-ball girl") but that'll change once I learn what i'm doing LOL Here is a good link for a yoga pose that's suppose to help dislodge food stuck in the pouch: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/downward-facing-dog-really-got-me-unstuck-85292/#post1114675
  10. I had my surgery on Dec 8th and had 1.7cc put in at that time. I have REALLY good restriction and at one point I thought I might need a slight unfill. Some of the swelling in my stomach must have went down as I can pretty much get down 6 to 8oz of food per serving (with the exception of breakfast...3oz)
  11. How about flat pop if you really need it badly.
  12. Apple Bottom Jeans and Boots wiff da furrr
  13. Hey China ....congrats :smile2: I knew you could do it!
  14. not much ..just a couple of tablespoon full. i felt my stomach rumbling a little then i got sore..so i left it alone after that and went back to jello and water. try replacing one of your meals with a low carb/high protein shake maybe that'll give you a jump start
  15. Thanks Linda! I'm very excited to start this journey and see where i'll be this summer:rolleyes: right now i'm so tight that i don't think i'll be over eating no time soon. oh i did have a bad dream last night.. i fell asleep watching House and dreamed that i was one of the interns and was on liquid fast.. i was in the hospital cafeteria and they came out with fresh piping hot cheese N peperoni pizza..and i was like forget it! LOL... I ate THREE slices and was looking for a peice of carrot cake...but the carrot cake didnt look too good so I was running around looking for something chocolate:drool:..then I woke up! LMAO crazy dream!
  16. hey NBflo Girl I tried the low sodium french onion soup mixed with Water and it hurt my stomach then I tried the Protein mix with 1% milk and that hurt my stomach too :wink2: maybe i'll try the tomatoe soup tonight mixed with water and see if my stomach will take that.... so far the only thing i can is the boost Protein Shake and jello gelitin (getting boring)
  17. I had the shoulder pain for a couple days...it's more of a nagging pain than real intense... the most intense pain is in my side and going accross my lower back. but the more i "expel" the gas the less intense it is... you might not have the pain as worse as me ...either way i know you can handle it :-)
  18. "Fat Friendly" LOL... girl you're funny! Yeah they have to understand that if they're gonna work on that floor they have to be "friendly to the fat" LOL You know i'll be there for ya ...hopefully they'll give you Kenya..she was very nice, polite, and curteous.
  19. LOL...now Melolo...you can't be hattin on da duck! LOL... I used to love that song as a kid! Quack Quack
  20. Hey gang, I got my band!!! Yeah Me and I'm still sore as hell! lol I still have a lot of gas pain and have been walking around the house to try and move it out. I was worried about first week of liquids and being hungry... NOT ...I am so full after a couple of sips of protein or jello ...its amazing that I don't feel hunger! I know i'm not getting enough protein in so i'm gonna have that up today.. can anyone tell me if SF jello pudding is ok on the full liquid diet? Everyone was very nice and the only problem I had was with one nurse who did not give me any pain meds from 1pm the day of the surgery to that evening when the night nurse came on and asked if I wanted anything and said that I must be in a lot of pain.. I told I was and who the other nurse was and she shook her head and quickly got me something to relieve the pain. Then the next morning that same nurse (sharon) came in to give me something and I told her that I did not feel comfortable with her and wanted someone else since she did'nt take care of me properly ...then Kim NP came in and I told her what happened in front of that nurse and she told me that I could switch nurses if I wanted...so she took care of it for me. After that everything went smoothly... I'm glad it's finally over with!
  21. Your surgeon is full of it! Why would he do a procedure he does'nt believe in?? He probably does'nt want to put the band back in because he knows he messed it up in the first place! I hope you go and have yourself checked out by another "obesity" surgeon (who is competent, capable and believes in his work) to make sure he did'nt do any perminent damage to you. Your insurance should pay for the replacement and removal of the band as it is not your fault (could be a faulty band or faulty placement)...call your insurance company and explain the situation and i'm sure they'll give you the right answer. good luck!
  22. Hey Fitzie and Kerry... my surgery date is dec 8th too:hurray:
  23. Hey China, You're doing really well! I really don't think you're going to let a little 8lbs get your way:tongue2: How have you been doing with the shakes? I think that week of liquids (pre-op) is gonna kick my a**! Anyways keep up the good work and i'll see you at the gym!
  24. I'm getting banded the 8th of this month! Excited and nervous and looking foward to the new ME!
  25. I definantly want in on this...I have a pair brown leather pants I want to get into by New Years Eve:w00t:! Count me *down* 25lbs!
