Hey everyone...I thought I'd share the rest of my sleeve story. So I was sleeved July 6, 2016. I thought I was doing well the first two weeks...until I went back to work. By then I was on the puree phase but barely taking that step forward. It started with chest pain, then left shoulder pain, then the vomiting of foam and sometimes bile...it was awful. After going back and forth to the hospital, my doctors decided ok no more anything through the mouth. Lol I was miserable for 3 weeks of getting nutrition through a catheter in my arm all because of a hernia repair that was keeping liquids from going down successfully. I did nothing wrong. Finally, I'm back to normal able to go on dates with my fiance, eat normally...well normally for us lol...and most important I published my first book! Life is good for me now that I'm over that discouraging hurdle. 3 weeks ago I was down 40lbs, I get weighed again in 2 1/2 weeks...I'm one of those people that refuse to get on the scale in case I get mad and throw it across the room lol. Ok that's enough rambling...have a great day everyone!

Yes we are! Yeah, my Popsicles are what have been getting me by lol I have sugar free tropical Popsicles and they are soooo good! I start Unjury and Premier Protein shakes today! We bout to be fye girl!

I was also sleeved the 6th! I spent 2 nights in the hospital. In the mornings I take my omeprazole with "breakfast" (8 oz Fairlife chocolate milk) and do my Lovenox injection. Then I have 8 oz Water followed by "lunch" (Syntrax nectar fruit Protein packet mixed in 12 oz Water with ice cubes). After that I have more water or tea. "Dinner" is Unjury's chicken broth Protein powder mixed into a strained Soup. After dinner I'll have more water and/or tea. I'm on full liquids, but everything has to be thin enough to go through a juice pulp strainer my clinic gave me. I can't wait to be able to have thicker soups! I love thick Soups. It's a little boring, but it gets me over 50 oz of Protein and over 64 oz of water each day.
For gas I've been using a Gas-X strip. I hope I'm less gassy now that I've finally had my first bm today. Walking helps with the pain, as does a belly binder. When I need to sneeze, I hold a pillow against my left (more painful) side. I've been taking liquid Benadryl and liquid Allegra at bedtime to help with my allergies and sneezing, too. It's helped a treat!

So I just had the sleeve and let me tell you I was a cranky woman in the hospital and first day home. The bubbling is so annoying but a friend told me to double up on antacid meds and that really helped. I find myself peeing quite often during the night as if I needed another reason to not be able to sleep. I'm so scared to cough, burp or laugh. Also I can't tell if I'm having hunger pains or what but this liquid thing is so boring I cannot wait to puree. I'm just really anxious to get back to normal even though I know that's a mile away...thank God for my fiance cause his encouragement helps me tremendously.

I'd like to add don't allow anyone to bully you if you have always put your office as a priority as you said then this person will feel entitled to make you feel bad or as if you've done something wrong so they can have what they want and if it works so much the better in their favor u need to put yourself first for once and do what you need instead what of what is convenient for everyone else good luck

I got the call today and they scheduled me for Tuesday (the 19th). Stoked my liquid diet is only 1 week!!!!

The gas bubbles were ridiculous so I doubled up on antacid meds that helped majorly. I also had a problem with my breast being so heavy so I keep a pillow against my chest lifting them up for now. Are you taking small sips? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

Wow congrats on the weight loss...my first week appointment is Thursday so I can't wait to see how much I've lost. I won't know when I start the purees until I see the doctor but girl that has not kept me from looking at some puree recipes . Have you been light headed at all? Or started all your Vitamins? Thank you! My first week appointment is Thursday too! And noo I feel you, I have found so many recipes that I'm ready to try and share! Actually I have had to force myself to eat. I have not felt hungry at all or lightheaded . I can't lie it's been hard being in a household with a mom who is a chef and always cooking and I can't try her stuff lol. The only Vitamins I have been on so far are Iron, Vitamin D and B12 since I needed those prior to surgery for being anemic . I should know more about vitamins on Thursday ! I'm excited to hear and update from you .

I had my on the 6th also,My first 3 days were awful!!!! I felt like I was starving ALL the time. I had a long talk with myself (No,I'm not crazy)llol. If I feel hungry I eat half a sugar free pop sickle. No,it's not what I want,but it's what I signed up for.I feel so much better already,I ate sweets ALL the time before & was always tired!I can't wait to get to start working out.My boyfriend has been a saint through all of this!!!!good luck to you!!!!

I totally feel your pain girl! I was sleeved on 7/5. I'm on Clear liquids only for two weeks . And then full liquids . I won't be on purees until 8/2 . I'm so excited for our journeys and how we do! We are now sleeve sisters! I'm down 17.4 pounds since surgery last Tuesday which I can't lie startled me at first because I didn't think it would be so rapid. I was so scared to cough the first day because everything was so sensitive but I noticed that applying pressure with a pillow and heating pad or ice pack made it soooo much better! You should definitely try it ! I hope you stay active on here , I'll enjoy seeing your transformation.
