    Risen boil

Call your surgeon. It's probably not an issue - they are not as quick to cancel as you'd think - but if it is an issue then it's an issue for a reason. Don't take anything this close to surgery without clearance from your doctor Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

9 days out and in pain

I was in a lot of pain under one of my incisions at that point. So much so that I was in tears the night before I went back to work because I didn't know how I was going to do it. Honestly in retrospect I wonder if I was babying it too much because within a day or two I was so much better. By day three - no pain at all - and I have a super active job. So in my case - I think that actually moving helped to speed along the healing. That said - it's always a good idea - especially that soon after surgery - to give the office a call and see what they say. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi. I am an August 22 too! I can relate to the stall/slow loss feeling. I was 255 August 1 - 236 day of surgery and I'm 181 today. Just sticking with the plan and working in more exercise and weight training now. Super excited about my energy and mobility so it's all good. Plus I look pretty good - so there's that lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Ladies!?!

Ok. If you continue bleeding I would def ask him about a sonogram. The pressing down and not feeling anything doesn't particularly impress me - Glad he is doing lab work though. Are you feeling more at ease since you saw him? Just please continue to advocate for yourself - remember - no one knows your body better than you do. I'll keep you in my thoughts Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Ladies!?!

The clots are such a give away with polyps. Take it easy and get it taken care of asap. They were able to get all of mine with the exception of 2 fibroids that are outside of my uterus - day op doing a hysteroscopy d&c. No pain or discomfort to speak of post op. Good luck! Ladies!?!

Go see your gyn. I can relate - after surgery my periods went crazy - every two weeks and heavy. Then I started bleeding in November and didn't stop. Turns out that my hormones had caused my fibroids and polyps (preexisting) to grow and they were irritating my uterus causing the excessive bleeding. 1 quick surgical procedure to clean it all out January 11 and I'm good to go. Threw in an endometrial ablation on top of it and hopefully I won't have to deal with the periods anymore. Good luck to you - Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Good Morning everyone! 184.8 this morning - down from 185.8 last week with a goal of 163 The thing that I have been struggling with - since the holidays - is the realization that I still want to eat the things that made me obese in the first place and that - since I refuse to make others responsible for my choices - I'm still going to be surrounded by the foods I love in large quantities. So even though my sleeve is a wonderful tool - the majority of the work still needs to be done between my ears. So right now I am focusing on knowing my plan ahead of time - that way I'm not making decisions about food on the fly And focusing on a. Getting to the gym and b. Making my workouts meaningful I am having surgery tomorrow for some non sleeve related uterine issues. And I am really nervous - I don't really know why I'm so anxious but I am. I was originally supposed to have my 4 month weigh in on Thursday but I was advised to change it because of the possibility of Fluid retention. Anyhow. I hope everyone has a great week - be kind to yourselves. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I can't help you with your uterus problems but I can say that there is no reason to worry. You have been here long enough to make good decisions and see the pitfalls of others. You've got this!
