You look amazing! Those start out weight and height are the same for me as well. I'm hoping to get sleeved in May. Just finishing my pre qualifications for surgery. Are you exercising as well? I've noticed a lot of people aren't working out they are just doing minimal exercise .

Jesm1029 got a reaction from hdsjourney in Weighing in.
I do it everyday twice a day I have hit my goal weight and it helped when I found myself slip to get back on track because I saw that scale move in the wrong direction anything more then 2lb up I'm checking myself. I know people say it's not healthy but to me it motivated me to keep pushing to get to goal

So that's great you lost a lot quick and your doing well. The only tips I have is to stick with the diet they give you once you stray it can be difficult to get back on for some so keep your goal in mind. High Protein low carbs

Jesm1029 got a reaction from DeeM in 6 months post op and feeling like I'm on a slippery slope downhill
Interesting so I'm 2lbs from goal and I find myself eating sweets more now I don't beat myself up about it but I feel like I should be. I will eat like 2 spoons of a really bad banana pudding everyday because it's in the fridge. For me it's an out of sight out of mind thing I really won't go out the way to get something but if it's there then I'm eating it. I haven't gained any weight but I'm only 8 months out and I do work out 5 days a week. I know the struggle it's not easy and for me my will power is low if it's easily available. Just keep trying and like the post above if you can do it and stop good if not and your like me try to keep it away for limited occasions

I'm sorry for your loss my only suggestion would be to keep busy walk to relieve stress and go back to basics with eating habits

Jesm1029 reacted to Thick2Thin2016 in To skinny
The only people that say I am too skinny are people bigger than me.everyone my size or smaller does the eye roll side eye thing, because no one ever comments on them being thin and taking care of themselves.

Jesm1029 reacted to Dairymary in To skinny
Of course there's such a thing as too skinny. But are most WLS patients likely to have that problem? Not likely. Unless they trade one eating disorder for another. Not losing what they want or regain are much more the norm.
The problem with the "too skinny" thing is perception. People are just used to seeing us as fat. Now, with a normal BMI or even just overweight instead of obese, we look "too thin". The loose skin and new face/neck wrinkles give a gaunt and sickly appearance as opposed to our previous "healthy" looking chubby cheeks. We may not even be as thin as the person making the comment or as thin as the friend standing next to us, but we just don't look the way everyone is used to seeing us. Someone who only knows the postop you is not likely to think you are too skinny.
