  1. hi, good luck to you I had mine done on 2/13 and am going back to work on Thursday, a little over a week off. I feel like I could have easily went back today, but I'm glad I waited a full week. The first few days were pretty rough, but the last few have gotten progressively better and I feel fantastic this morning!
  2. I'm 6 days post op and I've had diarrhea since day 3. It was bad at first, but less frequent now. I do have terrible gas that never seems to go away. I'm going to ask the doctor about it at my appointment on Wednesday.
  3. I had band on 2/13 and pretty much the same experience as the others. My only difference is they had to do a hiatal hernia repair so I was on the table for 5 hours. When I woke up my back was just excruciating but it was under control in a couple of hours. The first couple of days weren't so bad, and each day i'm getting back to my old self, I just have terrible gas, and that is something that no one warned me about, but apparently is pretty common. Good luck to you!
  4. I keep reading about people drinking protein drinks the first week post op. I had lapband and a hiatal hernia repair on February 13th and can't have anything but clear liquids until a full week (Wednesday). My doctor seems to be very strict, and I'm fine with that, but curious what others are doing. I'm also curious if serious gas/rumbling was a problem the first week.
