  1. I didn't weigh myself until yesterday. My surgery was on 10/3 and I lost 15 pounds since surgery... Don't worry about that though. You will naturally lose early on because you're not taking in much calories.
  2. @@higher Thanks for posting this. I have had a couple of painful moments and I'm only 3 weeks end. I can't live like this so thanks for giving us some helpful information!
  3. Thank you to everyone who answered! I just ordered it from Amazon!

  5. I'm 2 weeks post op and having a VERY hard time getting this protein in and I'm getting tired of the Premier Protein. I've been reading about Genepro as a good option. Anyone else use it? If so, what do you put it in?
  6. I used Gas X Strips and they do not help the gas and air that you are feeling. The only thing you can do is walk walk walk walk walk.
  7. @@perspectiveiseverything We might have the same plan ???? ???? ????. I cannot wait for some tuna or something... I had creamed Soup today and it had small pieces of chicken in it.. I would chew the chicken till I couldn't do it anymore and then spit it out but it was sooooooo satisfying to chew ???? ???? ????
  8. Congratulations to you! I am almost 2 weeks post op and if you do nothing else walk as much as you can early on... And the first week is the hardest. Make it through that and you will be on your way! Good luck to you!
  9. I didn't use hardly anything I brought with me... I used my charger, phone, and Gas X Strips.. But I was only in the hospital for one day... They let me go since I was walking so much lol
  10. OMG me too! I didn't think I was gonna make it @@M579 Lolololol... Lemme know if it helps!
  11. Yes, as long as you walk walk walk as much as you can right after surgery and try to walk as much as you can every 2 hours. That helps your body heel the most. Just take your time, and remember one step as a time..
  12. I use My Fitness Pal for food intake and I have a Fitbit and use the Fitbit app for my daily activity and exercises!
  13. If you don't mind me asking @@M579 how often do you take the stool softeners? I guess I need to go back through my information and see when I can add some fiber in my diet! But I'm sure it's not for a while[emoji22]
  14. No... I've had sugar free pudding and appleaauce, jello, protein shakes, and creamed soup.. No room for anything else ???? ???? ????. I was sleeved 10/03/16
  15. Hi everyone! I hope everyone is doing well on their journey. I was sleeved on 10/03/16 and was wondering what are some of the things you do to prevent constipation..? I had to pass a very hard stool (sorry tmi I know) and I would like to never, ever go through that again! Please, any advice you can share is helpful [emoji4]
  16. Yeah everyone is different... I'm still on full liquids and the only thing I can really measure is the amount of protein I'm taking in because it says 20 grams on the box and I drink 2 Chocolate Premier Protein shakes a day with the other fluids...
  17. Let me tell you...I have started to put ice in my ninja do where it turns into snow and I can probably eat/drink like 65-75 ounces of that in a day with eaaaase... Now the protein takes a little time but I'm able to drink 2 Chocolate Premier Protein drinks in a day, my surgery was 10/3...and trust me it's and all day event... Ive lost 8.3 pounds since my surgery...
  18. I had liquid pain medication thank goodness....
  19. Help! I am a week post op and I have a hard stool that I cannot pass and have been trying to since last night. Can someone give me any advice? Did this happen to you?
  20. I drink the Premier Protein chocolate shakes over ice and it tastes like a yoohoo to me. People also in my support group use Genepro and put it in various foods and drinks, and they say it's tasteless and odorless!
  21. @@Kelleylu I was sleeved on October 3rd as well. I weighed myself today and I lost 5 pounds from my surgery day weight....
  22. I so appreciate advice like this! How is your pain level? Are you able to do basic household things? I hope you're doing well!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App @@momto3E I am able to move around more and the only pain I have here and there are gas pains. But I can barely get in one Protein Drink a day.. So I will have to switch to some kind of tasteless powder to get it in. I'm still a little sore but no where near the first couple of days. The walking helps. Whatever you do remember do not buy alot! I have jellos and yogurt I can't even fathom eating cause I'm so full on so little!
  23. If you do nothing else, walk walk walk!!! It will seem hard but you can do it!!! See you on the "losers bench"!!!
  24. Congratulations to you @@leebick! On the ride home from the hospital, all I kept saying was how I did I go to the hospital for weight loss surgery but I look fatter! Lolololol
  25. How soon after surgery did you weigh yourself for the first time? How much did you lose? Congratulations to everyone on this journey... We've made the decision to choose LIFE!
