This is by far the hardest part for me. I have always been a huge Water drinker and would always drink a glass of Water before a meal so I wouldn't eat too much. It's very difficult for me to not drink before and while eating. I'm trying though.

Did not intend to scare you, sorry... My attention was just to alert you to the hidden sugars in yogurt.. Sounds like a good pick

I'm so scared to find out so I literally take three bites and I'm done. Plus I'm not at all hungry so I almost have to force myself to eat. I'm still on soft foods so really haven't had anything major.

For those that take two doses of Prilosec, do y'all take them at the same time or spaced out? And what time of day? I've been taking just one in the morning.

I've noticed my stomach growls a lot which used to mean I was hungry and needed to eat, but now it growls but I'm not actually hungry. It's weird.

I've only tried premier. They're ok. They have a banana one now that's not bad. I always freeze them til they're slushy which makes them better in my opinion.

mich74 got a reaction from KristenLe in Pain meds
The bariatric lady at the hospital and the nurse both told me to follow the prescription for the first four days at home. I went home on a Tuesday and stopped taking them Saturday. They said it was better to take them as prescribed so as not to get in pain and then have to wait for them to kick in.

I'm only a week and a day after surgery so I don't know, but have you ever made hummus from edamame? The consistency would be about right.

Good for you! One of the best decisions I've made is to stop stepping on the scale except when at the doc. I have enough to stress over! Good luck tomorrow.

Hello. I had my surgery a week ago. My official weight the surgeon is using is 233 lbs but my original weight was 260 before the 6 mos of diet the insurance company made me do.
My surgery went well but I was in recovery for almost 8 hrs because I couldn't stop throwing up. Luckily once all the anesthesia was gone, I made a 180 and was able to go home the next day.
I've noticed the wide variety of diets given by the doctors. I did not have to do preop diet other than Clear liquids after noon the day before surgery. I'm currently on full liquids and can start soft foods tomorrow. Right now I'm perfectly fine with my PP shakes and sugar free Popsicles.
Just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm looking forward to this journey and am glad I found this forum.
