  1. Whats the best earbuds I can get to cancel out the noise from the room? I know when you first have the surgery you want to sleep and the noise of people constanly walking in and out can wake you up in the hospital, especially if you are a light sleeper like me. I'm looking something that cancels out as much noise as possible. Thanks
  2. @@butterfly23 where do you buy the tea? I'll try it. I've been using Benefiber but it's not working as I would like.
  3. I have a question for you guys.... I've started drinking Protein shakes (Premier Protein) but becasue of the Iron in the shakes they constipate me. Do any of you have had this issue with your shakes? If so what has helped you?
  4. I like Premier. I mix mine with ice and a few pieces of Fruit. It's actually not bad at all.
  5. I agree. If you have short term take it. I'm taking 6 weeks. I know it sounds a bit much but I have short term and I'm going to take advantage of it. The best place to get better is at home. You will be dealing with a lot of changes both physically and emotionally.
  6. I got got my blood work back and the Bariatric team says my Vitamin D and B12 are low. They suggested I buy the Vitamin D they sell. Did you guys buy a specific vitamin brand or a specific milligrams? I still have about 3 months before the surgery.
  7. I'm half way to getting the surgery approved. I still need 3 more weight management visits. But I did have the conversation with my doctor already and he told me after day 2 after the surgery he wants me on Protein shakes. Why your doctor wants to wait 2 weeks is wierd. Protein is very important.
  8. Yes call them. Stay ontop of that.
  9. Does anyone recommend a good heating pad? I know a heating pad is going to be essential. I was wondering if you found a good quality one.
  10. I agree with everyone. Taking time for yourself is the most important thing. You will be home soon enough. If you don't use those 2 days to recover properly you won't be worth anythign when you do go home.
  11. @Dub what Protein shakes do you use?
  12. Staywell requires you to have a 6mts weight management program. Does it have to be consecutive? Or can it be 6 month visit in the last 2 years? I called the insurance company but they couldn't give me that information.
  13. What protein shakes are you guys using?
  14. How much weight do you need to loose before the surgery? At the first consultation my doctor told me I cannot gain anymore weight. He wants me to loose some. I was wondering how much weight have you lost in the 6 month process? Since the first consultaton until the day of surgery.

  20. Thank you MissMac I think it will be wise to take the time. I have the short term dis at work that will cover it as well. Thanks @KristenLe I think the time off will be great both mentally and physically. 6 weeks doesn't seem too far off wack anymore.
  21. Yeah 2 weeks seem to be average but I have also read how people feel tired after a few weeks. Thats what I'm scared about the most. I don't want to feel like that at work. So if some people take 4 weeks off than 6 weeks don't seem too crazy.
  22. How long are you guys taking off work? I'm planing to take 6 weeks, I was wondering if that is too much? I'm not sure what to expect after surgery.
  23. What Proteins shakes are recomendable? I have a very hard time with them. I was wondering if anyone out there has the same trouble I have.
  24. I can't wait to hear those magic words... lol Congrats
  25. Thats great. I just started my process now. I've been trying to gather all my documentationsfor the insurance now. I go for my Phy Eva on Tuesday. I can't wait to get this insurance stuff over with.
