  1. I'm not sleeved yet but I'm making choices like I am. I went to a convince store not long ago looking for something to eat. In the past it was easy, some carb fueled crappy thing and off I would go. I ended up buying a cheese stick that the nutrition label really didn't scream EAT ME FAT MAN but it was better than my previous choices. Convenience stores aren't really all that convenient now.
  2. Wow 120! You stop breathing every 30 seconds! The issue with traditional apnea is that an apnea is the obstruction of your air way because of the muscles relaxing around your airway. A CPAP, Constant Positive Airway Pressure is intended to inflate the airway similar to the air in a balloon keeping the balloon from deflating. There is also central apnea which is where the brain tells your body to not breathe. The issue with anesthesia is that if you have apnea you will most likely have a breathing tube in your airway to manually keep the airway open.
  3. FYI. Some insurance companies won't accept a home sleep study for billing purposes. A home study only establishes and AHI, not and appropriate pressure. An auto set CPAP will range based upon settings but an auto CPAP is more expensive. A sleep study in a sleep lab will establish AHI, pressure and an appropriate mask.
  4. I personally know 5 people who have been to him in tijuana. Three of those are Healthcare professionals and they said that it it the cleanest facility that they have ever been in. His coordinator sucks but it turns out that one of my friends is a coordinator as well and all has been golden since.
  5. Please don't tell where you got that suit! I would have to get one for my wife but I'm afraid that it would never make it to the water before it came off. That sucker is sexy!
  6. I know exactly which surgeon I want to do my surgery. I know 5 people have been to this particular surgeon. I feel very comfortable with the surgeon but I was not happy with his coordinator. When speaking to one of my friends I found out that they are a coordinator for that surgeon as well. It has been a completely refreshing experience to deal with the person that is my friend. It does make me wonder however how much business has been lost for this surgeon over the years by this coordinator and her lack of communication.
  7. Sashimi (just the fish) is good to go. Sushi has the rice.
  8. Did I mention sushi? Oh, I have a Wasabi addiction as well.
  9. I'm truly going to miss sushi. The first date with my beautiful wife was to sushi. The night we were married, sushi. Our first anniversary, sushi. Half of our anniversaries, sushi. We have made a 7 hour round trip just to go for sushi.
  10. I know for a fact that someone has had sex on the lunchroom table. Picture food on that...
  11. My secret to deviled eggs is to pickle them first then take hidden valley spicy ranch dressing packet and mix it with Greek yogurt, sweet pickle relish and the yolks.
  12. There you go again making me hungry with your seafood!
  13. My boss had the surgery last August. I never saw her as a big woman. She is one of those women who looked beautiful with her curves. We were talking on Friday and she mentioned that she keeps getting the full pat down going through security at every airport in the last couple months and she thinks that it is because she looks nothing like her driver's license. It was issued last July and OMG she looks like a completely different person.
  14. That will never happen to me again. My weight will not define me. I don't need a label. The only time it will be taken is when my medical card has to be renewed every 2 years. It isn't done by my doctor or paid for by my insurance company. In fact my Dr can take his blood pressure cuff and stick it squarely up his pooper. My blood pressure is fine everywhere but in his office.
  15. I have a house guest rule. When they get there they get a roll of toilet paper. When it is gone, they are gone. If I like you then we don't serve spicy Mexican food. If I don't then we "celebrate beans and my infamous pickled deviled eggs".
  16. Make that an EXTREMELY regular basis. Now my beautiful wife is laying next to me sleeping soundly and is completely oblivious to the fact that she sounds like she is operating a Fairbanks Morse hit and miss engine. My eyes are watering and my nostrils are burning. Even the dog left the room.
  17. I have always had the ability to scrounge something up out of just about nothing. Tonight was no exception. I made a steak salad with a Mexican flair. I dug through the refrigerator I made up a substitute for sour cream using yogurt, adobo Chiles and God only knows what kind of salsa I found buried in the back of the fridge. It was much hotter than I intended to be but it wasn't half bad. I don't believe that this was such a good idea and apparently neither does my body based upon the horrible stench that is erupting out of my rear end on a semi-regular basis.
  18. Today's fat man reminder of my gravity on earth. Walking across gravel and round rock while wearing flip flops, OUCH! I'm looking forward to loosing 100+ pounds of damn this sucks.
  19. Ditto on the deodorant comment above.Like every other amazing female killing it in the gym....I don't sweat, I glisten. LOL But yes, thank you deodorant and dry fit! I told my wife about your "glisten" comment because she worked out at the gym today. This is a direct quote from my wonderful, beautiful wife. "I worked out so hard today that I sweat more than a prostitute in front of a preacher on confession day ". Apparently she doesn't glisten lol!
  20. Congratulations! Can I just tell you how much I like your forum name. High functioning fat man. Spectacular. Why thank you!
  21. I'm going to miss saffron rice
  22. I wish multi quote worked on my phone...
  23. LOL @ "pirdy" lady bits! Also... A friend helps you move, a REAL friend helps you move bodies. I have a truck and a tarp to go.with your shovel and flash light.
  24. Ditto on the deodorant comment above.
  25. Old spice high endurance on the skin folds. Try it!
