What did you replace food with?
Thanks! I worked my butt off on that one. It belongs to a good friend of mine. The first engine that I built was that flathead when I was 16. The truck was primer grey at that point. That is one of the few vehicles that I've ever told the owners that I would but it if they ever sold it. Like all projects, it takes time and money. Fortunately it wasn't my money!

Has anyone looked at the money they have saved post op?
I should add that my savings is just on eating lunch out and my ice tea habit. My sweetie said that our grocery bill is about $125-150 cheaper. We've always bought quality food.

Kinda personal BM question
Once you are on solid food is when your butt tries to make parking curbs instead of melted Hershey bars. Fiber is a good thing or else hemorrhoids can be in your future.

A week into lower food intake.
That is awesome!

Finally this one is MINE! I will describe it simply 500+ horsepower and a 6 speed! I have 90% of the parts and I'm hoping to start on it this fall.

These will get combined. To make this for my wife.

What did you replace food with?
These are some of my own personal projects. From this with a dead engine. To this. Vehicles that we have stripped for parts and then scrapped.

An affordable hobby...I did this one a few years ago.

7 weeks post op
I know it was a typo, but when I saw "exorcist bike" the image popped up in my mind of Linda Blair chasing you around as you pedaled the bike. No typo. I hate that damn thing and I think that it is possessed! It keeps increasing resistance on its own. Not quite. It does sit in front of my living room window and I wear my shorts, a t shirt that can now double as a tent and my slippers (don't judge me) I don't get on the pedals while getting my butt off of the seat because I would moon my neighbors when my shorts would slide off. I do like to do the free weights naked because Mrs. Fat Man enjoys the show!

7 weeks post op
I use an exorcist bike, free weights, one of those hand grip thingies, a simply Fit board, an old total gym and I chase my wife around.

I use it on a chunk of wood.

I sat down and figured it out trying to estimate low at my savings. I came up at $320 a month without factoring in clothes. The only thing that changed is that I can't drink plain water so I mix Powerade Zero 50/50 with water. The Powerade is $.80 each for a 32oz. Now I'm at about $300 a month savings between eating out, my old ice tea habit and the medications that I no longer need. $4400 for the sleeve, $472 for the flights means that in just over 16 months it has paid for itself as long as I choose to be naked.

I do like it and for the price and size I don't think that you can beat the workout.

Yeppers. We have one. The moving around the house is because of leaning. You can intentionally walk around using it if you know how. I also get in a plank position (like a push up that is all of the way up) and put my hands on either side of the board and twist it underneath me.

How has your sex life changed since surgery/weightloss?
My last post in here was pre op. I'm down 78 pounds and I've gained 2.5 inches of USABLE manhood! The wife and I both agree that there is more girth as well. My sweetie is trying to wear it into a nub but it definitely isn't working. We are in bed by 9pm nightly but it isn't to sleep.

I did all the bad things!
Thank you. I had a pretty in depth discussion with the psychologist at our program about how to handle stuff like this. He is firmly of the opinion (and I agree) that making something forbidden is the best way to make it more desirable, and cutting it out completely is not always a good thing. Now, if it were an addiction problem, then yeah, a little is as bad as a lot, and can cause someone to fall off the wagon. Going in with a plan really helped too. There were lots of old familiar smells and sights. I skipped the cookie and candy dishes completely. I didn't even go close to them. I figured I could probably get away with eating a little, but they would just get in the way of my Protein, and I am working real hard at keeping that up. So even though I put a little humor into this, I hope the real message that comes through is that planning ahead can be very effective in not going overboard and causing physical as well as emotional problems. What are you still doing here?? Oh well, I agree with your statements above. I guess you can stay...

Bill, Bill, Bill... You broke the rules Bill. You shall be banished forever! You must now take your rebellious ways and leave!

4 days post op and confused
I made this meal 5 days after my surgery. We had 12 or so people here. I didn't miss a thing. I did this partially to prove to myself that it really wasn't a big deal. Most of this surgery is mental.

Chinese Food
At ELEVEN days out? Phew! Living life on the edge... I was still on full liquids. I was advanced pretty quickly too but part of that is because I was not enjoying the pureed stage so I asked if I could just chew the supreme crap out of the next stage of food and was given the ok.

It gets better soon, I promise! Quit watching regular tv. Watch Netflix or youtube instead. Those commercials are evil! As far as the egg goes... Heaven on earth was an egg with havarti and hot sauce! Cheddar still doesn't go down easy.
