:scared2:I am so suppose to be on clear liquids for the next 3 days surgery on June 11th will I die or surgery be cancelled because I ate some food I will start right now on clear liquids but I was so hungry do you think if I took a laxative it would help? Please I need some advise?

Hey my new date is now June 11th also I was supposed to have it May 28th but there was some issues that are resloved now. I am worried a little about going under also but I wil have my cpap machine once I am out good luck with your day I am sure everything will be ok

Yes I had 2 ekg's and they were ok I don't know what happen from since end of April I had 1 and then at PAT 05/08/08 another both ok so I did not have to see a cardo Dr I am now waitng on results will keep you all posted

:lol: I was supposed to be banded today while in the pre opt room IV in arm all ready to be banded the heart monitor shows these weird heart beats so the dr cancelled surgery and sent me to the cardio Dr I was so lucky to get in today and they did an ultra sound and a stress test on a trad mill and sent me home with a monitor for 24hrs I hope everything goes ok so I can get back on the schedule again I am so sad right now I was also told I had a heart murmur I am not sure what happens next but I had to just get it out. Has anyone been thur this

Not sure about the problem your having but I was told by my nurse that flintstone vitiams were ok to use that is what the Barix clinic recomended I use I am not banded yet 05/28/08

:sad:I am so nervous about the pain the full liquid diet the saggy skin, the port site oh just help me with this? my mind is racing 24/7 I need to be reinsured that this right and I need this band so it can help me to stay healthly I keep telling myself this but others around me like co-workers say just cut back off the food, you will have to drink those protein drinks the rest of you life ect.... can anyone just give me some words of incouragement please.

I was in the same boat for my PAT 05-07-08 I made it and now I have to loose about 3-4 pounds before my big day 05-28-08 that is my surgery day. I started full liquids and I lost 3lb in 2days I am now following my preopt diet and 3days before surgery I will be on Clear Liquids and I know I will be ok for surgery so just do full liquids and it will work if it worked for me I know it can work for you hang in there and remeber why you are doing this. I have been reading threads and I seem to keep hearing about the gas pain. What is everyone talking about is it farting all the time, heart burn or both? I also will like to know is this all the time or when I eat certain things also people are saying right after surgery they have gas bad fill me in on this ok?

The Dr told me I had to loose 5-10lbs before my surgery wich is 05/28/08 but I got a call from the nurse who stated that at my preop apt on 05/27/08 I can not weigh more than 5lb more frm my orginal weigh in which was 02-26-08 and I have gained 5lbs. I am ready to do whatever it takes to be healthy but I thought I had until 05-28-08 to loose by

I am desperate if don't loose the weight my surgery will get postpone from my dd 05/28/08 anybody out there with some ideas please let me know.:biggrin:

My name is Nora I live in Columbus OH and I am scheduled for surgery for my lapband 05/28/08 I have 2 sons 16 and 8 I am very neverous and excited about my new life I have been overweight for 12yrs and I hate it, most of my family are not supportive of the procedure they feel I can loose the weight with diet and excerise. I am currently seperated from my husband who does not know about the surgery yet, I know he will not want me to have it either, Oh well it is my life and body and I want to be banned, My insurance is paying at 100% thanks to my fortune 500 job and don't have to pay 1cent my boys just want the best for me and to be safe and healthy I pray that I can make it thru the diets and the sleep machine I have to use over the next month and 1/2 so please guys your are all the support I have so wish me luck and I will do the same for all of you:drool: Batrix clinic Groveport OH Dr S. :wink2:I had a sleep study done and I have sleep apnea, now I have to sleep with this machine that will be given to me next week which I must use every night for the next 5-6 wks before I can be scheduled for my surgery. I was also told that I will have to bring the machine to DR office so they can check to make sure I have been using it why ? Has anyone elese have to do this ?:smile:
