Cheated 5 days after my sleeve
Hopefully nothing. I suggest to watch a video of how raw and swollen your stomach is. Then think about taking a nugget and rubbing it on an already inflamed, swollen and raw sleeve. You chose to have this surgery, but it is worthless if you dont have to stick to your plan. Its a tool, not a miracle or magic wand. Reevaluate, regroup and move forward to not eat like that for a very very long time.. Otherwise you will hurt yourself. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

What has been the hardest part of your journey thus far?
I never worried about not having a certain food ever again, because if I am that crazy about whatever food in time I can have it. Even if it isb3yrs down the road. But the thought of no big bowl of Pasta, big plate of XYZ is out the window because of the physical impossibility actually gave me anxiety. I wasnt a big eater all the time, just a bad eater. So it took me off guard that this would be an issue.Wasn't a thought before surgery really. I still have anxiety about eating a larger portion than I can handle, even with portioning. Paranoid about stretching my pouch. Paranoid if the portion will trigger me to stop losing. When I watch 600lb life and they dont lose or actually gain after surgery and I see their portion sizes, I always wonder how they can eat that amount. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

Has anyone been called fat?
Heck even people on the thin side that I know have had their weight mocked. Whatever people know that stresses you out is what they aim to get you with. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

Don't comment with slick remarks
Picked on? Stared at? WHO? You keep making this odd statement.I'm thinking it is a self hatred thing going on. Or projecting her feelings on others. Either way, not good for long term success. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

When You Do Everything Right
I hear ya. It all has to start somewhere. Without that first step in the right direction, how will you end up where you want to be? Change is hard, but our previous choices weren't helping, so we have to change if we want to be healthy. The farther away I get from surgery, (5months) the stress from change goes down. It's not all puppies and rainbows. But I am down 70lbs from surgery, fitting into jeans again, my rings are fitting and can walk longer. Sure I started a year ago at 429, and am a slow user compared to others that started at my surgery weight (389) but slow losing is still losing! Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

Hello, I am new at this.
Icantbelieveit replied to Iwanttofitinmyweddingdress's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&AI got the gastric bypass and dont dump at all. So, its not ansure way to kill the sweet tooth. Also, surgery alone will not solve all problems. After the honeymoon stage where your body learned to absorb food like it did before surgery, its 110% on you again. No longer answering these questions:
Too bad there arent studies on the people that researched extensively preop vs those that walked through it blindly and their weightloss stats 5 years out. I would be very interested in this. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
