    My a1c was 13.5 in July 2015. By the time I had the sleeve surgery this April it was 6.8 with meds (no insulin).now it is hovering between 5.7 and 6 with no meds. Not cured but close.

    I'm not sagging yet. We shall see in a year how this turns out.

    I lost 70 lbs since April surgery...about 25, 30 left to go. How do I lose weight in the face...i dont have loose skin per se...but my cheeks are sagging. 42 years old, but look younger so its not that...does the face skin tighten up last?

    My sugars stabilized post op but I can't say I am cured. No meds, but doing alot to keep bg levels below 100. Gone up after I returned to work, had been in 70s 80s right after surgery.

    So, I decided to up my Water intake. My sugars started creeping up since I have returned to work so I am trying different things. I drink about 1 gallon per day not including my Protein shake(s). I am peeing much more though since.
    My original target was 50 oz of water...but I read a few articles that said people should drink at least 2/3 of their body weight...I am 263 lbs right now so that would be alot more than 1 gallon.
    Am I doing damage or expanding my stomach by drinking this much?
    FYI sleeved on 4/21...down 45 lbs, 40 left to go.

    I never could get into the Protein shakes. However, once I discovered Protein powder cakes I consistently hit my Protein goals. There are several recipes out there, and many on here as well. It's just your favorite Protein Powder, some non-dairy liquid coffee Creamer, and some baking powder. I also added natual Peanut Butter or bran to change it up. Either more protein or added Fiber being the goal.
    Also, if you don't already, learn to love fish. tuna from a pouch or can is great as are the bags of frozen whitefish filets. Bake them and you have a protein dense low calorie dinner.
