Leave now, or you risk botching your chance to lose the weight under his continued abuse.

Paté is basically a finely minced meat (often liver), usually for the purpose of being soft and "spreadable".
It's basically like canned cat food.

Tryptophan is nowhere near as effective as it's played up to be. The reason people feel sleepy after a Thanksgiving turkey dinner has nothing to do with Tryptophan and everything to do with eating a full day's worth of calories (or more, for the dedicated fatties) in a single sitting. Just another symptom of the spread of reason- and fact-resistant humans. Dumbass "folk wisdom" and vaccine-deniers are making the country stupid(-er).
Perhaps we can create dummy forums and lure them to those instead? Like a "VSG and Essential Oils" forum? "VSG, One Weird Trick to lose weight faster," "VSG and GMOs," "VSG and Chemtrails".

So it's very obvious the new newbies want nothing to do with hearing what successful WLS patients have to say. The recent debate over the the eating bacon 1 week postop makes it perfectly clear that what they want is for someone to tell them it's OK to be stupid. They are not interested in listening to their surgeons or nuts or veterans. Self sabotage is the new fad and compliance is apparently out of style. I made the mistake of responding to the post when, as a veteran, I should have known better. Turns out I'm just a big meanie (no surprise there!) At this point it's 95% newbies posting on that thread who don't have a clue what the long term repercussions of eating off plan so soon will lead to. The blind leading the blind.
Oh well. It will be interesting to see the stats of successful EWL go down over the next few years as more and more unprepared, uncommitted people continue to have WLS. In the meantime, I'm outa here. The newbies won. As hard as it is to tear my eyes away from the car wreck, I just can't take anymore people that do stupid shit and then whine about getting their feelings hurt. Someone PM me when the grown ups start joining again.

I am lactose intolerant...what plant based high proteinprotein shakes/powders are out there that will work out for me? I don't want to use Lactaid every time I want to drink a shake with lactose in it, so what are my options? I'm also considering plant based Meal Replacements (with high protein). Any suggestions?

Fredbear reacted to OutsideMatchInside in 4th of July is coming: What NSV activities do you have planned?
Last year this time I was frantically getting ready for surgery and focusing on getting my business in a position it could run itself for the 6 weeks I thought I might be out of commission. Turned out I only ended up not working for about a day
Anyway, last year I went to a summer fair 4th of July weekend and walking around and stuff was pretty tough. It was hot and humid and I was carry my portable chair with me for concerts. It was hellish.
This year I am down over 135lbs from my high weight and bursting with ungodly amounts of energy. I plan on having a good time this weekend. This includes kayaking, bike riding, and climbing those hills at that summer festival that killed me last year with ease this year.

*shrug* When you volunteer unnecessary information to strangers, you expose yourself to being subject to their opinions.
If you don't want their opinions then either stop sharing personal information, or put on your big girl panties and tell them you don't want or need their opinion.

The mortality rate my surgery center gave was 0.2% for the VSG over the length of the study (1 death per 500 patients).
The mortality rate for just being obese for the same time frame was 6% (30 deaths per 500 persons).
