I'm so glad somebody posted finally . Congrats on your loss. The scale has been moving slow for me too. I'm around 30lbs too. I feel and look so much healthier.

Congrats to you, that is awesome! I had surgery 10/16, on surgery date I was 283 and was 222 this morning, and highest weight was over 327. That's over 105 lbs lost total and 61 in about 14 weeks. I was a size 44 waist going in, and am down to a 34 or 36 depending on the pant, and from a 3XL shirt to an XL or L shirt now.
I still struggle with image and forgetting that I'm now 100lbs lighter. Can I fit in that booth, or sit in that chair? It's not a problem now, but was such a habit of thinking that I am still adjusting.
I'm 27 lbs from my initial goal of 195 and hope to hit that by April 1st, and then we'll take it from there to see what a true goal will be. It's funny, I remember talking to my wife and saying that 250 will be a good first start, then 225, and now 195. That goal is near, and it feels great! I agree, best decision I've made.
    Keep up the good work.

It has been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, but I am going to update anyway. I have my 3 month weigh in tomorrow and as of this morning, I weigh 265. Down 90lbs total and 30lbs since surgery. Progress on the scale has been slow, but the inches are dropping fast. The day I had surgery, I was wearing a size 48 waist pant, I am ow in a size 38. That is 10 inches off my waist. I only have about 35lbs to go to reach my goal.

It feels amazing to look in the mirror and actually like what I see. I did not realize just how big I was before, now I look back and can't believe the difference. I can't wait for these changes to continue. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made, hands down!

A lot of temperament associated with diets and weight loss can be laid at the feet of hunger. Once you are sleeved, you won't have to deal with that. Perhaps if you could show your husband that information he would consent to being a little more supportive.

I started my diet and exercise before I started The weight loss surgery process. I was 557 lbs. in May 2016 and I got down to 450 lbs. when I did start my weight loss surgery process in May 2017. I finally had my sleeve on December 5th 2017 and I was 381 lbs. today January 17th 2018 I am down to 355 lbs. so I started off at 557 lbs. and today I am 355 lbs.

Went shopping for clothes yesterday for a cruise vacation, scale not moving but in XL tops and 14 bottoms, that is crazy good to me.
I am going to evaluate my food choices and see if I need to tweak things to get the scale moving too. I did break down and join the gym. My stomach hangs terrible low now, oh well I knew plastic surgery was in the future anyway. I have wrinkles more noticeable as well, can't be 18 again lol!!!!

My surgery was on 10/30 and no complications. Since this thread, my experiences are the same as most, the roll-coaster of changes from the rapid weight loss is sometimes overwhelming and I have to take a step back.

I agree. It took 1 pic of myself with 4 other friends for my cousins Birthday November 2015! I never looked that big in the mirror. I was at 350 at that point. Wow! Noone believed I weighed that, but I did! The difference in 2 years? Wow! My neighbor who lives right across the street walked past me at a birthday party on Sunday and didnt recognize me at first, until she heard me talking! I am getting compliments, and since I rarely got them, I dont know how to react to them!
In case you can not tell, i am the one in purple closest to the camera.

Hannah83 - You've got this!!! It can be so exhausting trying to be something you have to fake. Definitely get into your doctor as soon as you can. Is the gym a stress reliever or something you feel like you have to do? Maybe you can take an evening off and find some foods that will stay down and taste good to you, prepare for the week, give your mind a rest. Be gentle with yourself. It takes time to find the right balance. Hugs.

Reading this thread made me realize how daunting scales are for everyone. I try not to care much about my weight because I feel like I'm doing the right things, so I rarely check my weight at home. I basically just wait for Doctor appointments before I get weighed. I think we all have to really be proud of how far we come and know there is still a ways to go but we've literally gotten over the largest hurdle. YAAAY US!

Perhaps you could use the perspective of body positivity which is a huge movement now. Focus on self live and positive choices in all aspects of life. Sometimes positive changes have a domino effect and can support weightloss with it being the main objective. Teens need alot of reinforcement in the selflove category...

as everyone else has said yes, the taste the first two weeks just is awful. But Water is your number one priority. (I tried propel water and it helped a lot first two weeks for me) Reason for readmission is being dehydrated. (soft hug) I'm day 44 out from surgery and it is getting better albeit slowly. Be patient with yourself and the process (again easier said than done) go for short five or ten minute slow as heck walks find things you love to do sensory wise that will get your mind off of it. I took up knitting 2 years ago and am glad I did. Also, I highly recommend face to face flesh and blood support from those going through what you are.

Merry Christmas October sleevers. Hope everyone is finding alternatives to the holiday sweets that abound right now. I think I have done quite well but have noticed I have been allowing myself more carbs. Not a habit I want to get into again.

Surgery 10/03, down 40.7 lbs. Past two weeks I have stalled, ugh. I feel bloated and finding it hard to keep down any meat. I plan on adjusting my diet again and see if that works. I am glad to see folks losing ♡
