  1. Hey there. Congrats on your pregnancy! I am also 8 weeks pregnant. I was told by the midwife to start back drinking protein shakes. I had my surgery in 2016 and haven't had a protein shake since 2017. I have not heard that they are bad for you but she specifically recommended the premier protein drinks.
  2. Congrats on your success! As soon as I reached the 50 pounds lost mark my periods became regular. If I were you I would grab a cheap pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.

  5. I am still in my first trimester. In almost 3 years post OP from gastric bypass surgery. I have reached my goal weight and have been maintaining it for the past two years. I would love to connect with others who have gone thru this or is going through it too. Maybe we can help each other out
  6. I'm a Bypass patient but I am in the same boat as many of you. I deal with constant nausea from the time I wake up until the time I lay down at night, nothing helps, I have tried zofran, Reglan.. Everything. The smell and thought of food makes me feel sicker. The only relief I have is when I am asleep. I can't get in proper fluids which scares the crap out of me. I've been to the Er several times for dehydration and received fluids, they seemed to help but the next day I am back sick again. All of my lab work is normal. This week I went to the surgeon for a endoscopy and he found and removed 3 random staples inside me. He was hoping that was what's making me nauseous but I am still sick 3 days after the procedure. I'm 6 weeks out and life is miserable. Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  7. No, I had to do 6 months of nutrition classes and weigh ins. They approved 1 week after submitting my paperwork. Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App

  10. Thx for responding. It's not worse when I eat. It never goes away. I've been checked for a stricture. I don't have one. Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  11. Hello, I am heading into my 6th week of gastric Bypass surgery. I deal with constant nausea from the time I wake up until bed time. Does anyone else deal or have experience with this? I'd love to hear from you. This really sucks. Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  12. I had my surgery the same day.. I'm dealing with the same issues. I hope that we can find answers.. I want to feel human again Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  13. Yes. Things are getting a little better, I went to the doctor and found out that I was severely dehydrated.. Thats why I couldn't take any thing by mouth. I'm still struggling with getting it in but I'm getting better each day. Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am feeling the same way right now, totally down and sad. I am full of regret, I miss food. I am 3 weeks post op Gastric Bypass and had a complication that took me from soft foods back to liquids. I just want to feel like a normal human being again. 15. I'm not sure. I do not weigh myself except for when I go to the doctor. I was 226 when I began in October, my current weight is 189 Sent from my LG-H950 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I had my RNY surgery on May 25th 2016. I weighed in at 198 during my first post op appointment. I was also cleared for soft foods. I follow the rules and play by the book. I was doing fine until one day last week every thing I ate got stuck.. Even yogurt and apple sauce. I have been taking miralax for a bm because I have not had one since the 5th of June. I do not weigh myself. I don't even own a scale anymore because I have had issues with "the numbers" in the past. The doctors are suspecting that I have a stricture. I have an appointment on Monday. 17. Hi. I'm almost 3 weeks post op and I'm struggling with food. I am on the soft food phase, I follow the rules. I eat very slow and I take very small bites (the size of a pencil eraser) yet everything I eat gets stuck even yogurt and apple sauce. As you can imagine it's very uncomfortable. What can I do?
