  1. Thank you guys so much! I decided I'm going to just focus on my fluids today and have 1 protein shake if I can muster through. I will forget about eating and just focus on my fluids
  2. i know exactly what you mean, just the thought of eating is really a hate for me. I dread my day to day and having to focus on my protein and liquids. I cant even go out anymore or else i suffer. I cant get my liquids in when im out. I dont get thirsty and never am hungry so time passes and i feel like shit. I just hate constantly not meeting goals.
  3. Thank you! I have tried a few Protein shakes, with a banana Peanut Butter, and a scoop of protein with almond milk ... it takes me all day to drink it and its only 30G protein. Idk ... im just so dizzy lately.
  4. Amazing everyone! I love all of this positive energy!
  5. Hi Gary. How are you feeling?
  6. Guys, i need advise. Im about 5 weeks post op. I can barely eat more than 1 ounce and maybe 2-3 times a day. I dont make my protein goals, im really bad with protein drinks. Im also barely making my water goals for the day. I have been very dizzy the past few days. ANY advise on how to up my protein and water consumption? Im feeling like a failure and my doctors office is telling me not to be so hard on myself, that people can have issues with transitions. But i do feel like a failure
  7. That's great idea not to have pastas grains and such. My plan isn't strict ... but I am strict on myself. I've been sticking to hummus, eggs, yogurt, and soups ... and of course my protein shakes
  8. I'm doing good, I'm having issues getting 64 Oz of water in daily since they started me on food. I get about 50, but otherwise doing great
  9. Well its never good to have the "last meal" ... sets you up for failure in the long run. You will be able to eat everything after surgery just has tastes not a whole plate of this or that.
  10. Not something I would mix with plain water, I'm very sensitive to smells, so I mix it in with something that has its own smell to help mask it
  11. I had previous abdominal surgery, so ext3nsive scar tissue and a huge mesh also in the way. So it was a very difficult procedure. Thankfully all went well and I feel great. The 1st week was hardest an now I feel normal. I do get occasional pain but minimal. Make sure you never go back to smoking. It's so critical. I'm glad your happy with your surgeon, always good to feel comfortable with your surgeon
  12. I had bypass with dr tishler actually. He was great, especially because I was a difficult case. What are you planing on having?
  13. Hello. Doing well. I'm post op now. Almost 2 weeks. How are you doing?
  14. I would love to hear any responses to this. Just for future reference. Im only 2 weeks out and never hungry still. I hope everyone has an answer for you
  15. Wow, im sorry to hear. I never heard of this. I hope that you are able to get it all settled before Surgery.
  16. I wanted to share with you, i have been having issues with getting protein in. SO i was suggested to try GENEPRO which is not only flavorless it is actually TASTELESS. You add only 1 Tablespoon and get 30 grams protein and it has no taste. I actually love this stuff. Mix it in tea, coffee, chocolate milk and you wont taste it. It was definitely worth the money and AMAZING. just thought i would share with you all!
  17. You know some doctors say yes and othersee make you stick to clear liquids. I think I wouldn't personally, but if it's approved and you want to try it be my guest. I would stay away until I know I will be able to handle it
  18. This is some great information. I am actually starting a walking regimen myself. I decided nightly i will walk with the husband and son. Just to get things flowing and to start back on a routine. Im 1 week post op, so it has to be very relaxed until they give me the go ahead for real exercise. I wish you the best with the ankle. Maybe when you are at a healthier weight it wont be such a burden if you were a special brace and try that run? Ill stay optimistic for you
  19. From what I know, you have to wait until you are completely out of weightloss phase and that can actually be longer than 12 months. I just had the surgery so, unfortunately i cant give you any advise. I do know that for the most part people just needed to include a little more calories a day. But good luck. I hope everything goes well for you
  20. i was getting dizzy a lot too. I dont have any blood pressure issues. I was told it could be a natural reaction to your body getting used to things but you are a week farther out than me so idk
  21. Mine has toast on it. I said even if its approved i wont do it
  22. Hi Michilingi! How are you doing? Maria Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App HI fat2foxy. I'm doing alright, it's been a bit of a difficult journey thus far. But I'm hanging in and it gets better day by day.
  23. Good luck! Ill be joining you tomorrow! Feel nervous as well!. Cant wait to hear how it went!!
  24. We are having surgery the same day, how are you feeling?. I am a tiny bit nervous but mostly excited. I think insurance putting up a fight about covering it has really made me appreciate being able to get it. I am ready to get this weight loss started. How are you feeling as its getting closer? So I'm getting more nervous. Surgery day is tomorrow and I had trouble falling asleep last night. I was thinking about everything I had to pack and wondering about so much. Rough night. I was hoping to sleep in since today is liquids only day ... but no luck there :/. Are you ready for tomorrow?
