Also in CT. Was originally going with Papasavas or Tishler but opted out of the process due to not wanting to deal with Cigna :/ I decided on traveling to MX. Will be sleeved on the 23rd :)

Your going to mexico, are they a well known group? Im so excited we have similar dates. I see dr Tishler, WHen are you going to mexico for the surgery, the 22nd?

Yup. The Dr. is pretty well known but the name doesn't show up here. My date is July 23rd :) Isnt this way too exciting lol? Less than 2 weeks for us both!

I know!!!! I'm excited but im actually kind of nervous. Ive been reading up and people have been scaring me about how they feel, their side effects and what have you.

How are you feeling about it all?

How is everyone inCT doing? I'm in eastern CT and will have bypass end of August

Hello. Doing well. I'm post op now. Almost 2 weeks. How are you doing?

Did you have bypass or sleeve? How has your recovery been going? I received insurance approval last week so just waiting for dr to call me this week to make final arrangements. Took longer than expected because my dr moved from Norwich when I was 5 months into 6 month supervised wt loss. I chose to follow Dr. Tousiant rather than stay in network with a Dr I hadn't met before( Dr Tishler). So I'm excited, nervous all of the above. [emoji3]

I had bypass with dr tishler actually. He was great, especially because I was a difficult case. What are you planing on having?

Bypass as well. I'm glad everything went well for you with Dr Tishler I just had never met him and I was already comfortable with Dr Tousiant so wanted to stay with him. I quit smoking(after 35 yrs heavy smoking!) two weeks ago in preparation for surgery. Feel so much better already. Lol if you don't mind my asking why do you say that you were a difficult case?

I had previous abdominal surgery, so ext3nsive scar tissue and a huge mesh also in the way. So it was a very difficult procedure. Thankfully all went well and I feel great. The 1st week was hardest an now I feel normal. I do get occasional pain but minimal.

Make sure you never go back to smoking. It's so critical. I'm glad your happy with your surgeon, always good to feel comfortable with your surgeon
