I'm still upset but determined! I have set up all my appointments and should be able to see my surgeon 2nd week of July to get the final decision about my surgery and possibly surgery date. I'm hoping and praying

Well I'm kind of bummed. I had my appointment the dr said bypass my not be an option for me since I had an incisional hernia repair with a large piece of mesh and the mesh would of caused scar tissue possibly to my intestines. He wants to do a sleeve procedure. Problem is my insurance does not cover the sleeve. So I'm feeling really bummed/depressed.

Well. I saw the DR. I only have to do 2 nutrition appointments, a psych eval, and clearance by a cardiologist for surgery. The only issue is my insurance only covers gastric by-pass and my surgeon wants me to do gastric sleeve, due to an incisional hernia that was repaired with a large piece of mesh in my abdomen. Idk what will happen, I am feeling quite defeated.

What you eat is 80% of weight loss. So try to limit sugars and carbs and you will lose those 14lbs In no time!! Today's the day I see my surgeon!!! So excited

Thank you, I went to the orientation. It was very informative and they have an amazing support group. They say they are with you for life and make sure your well informed before surgery and after they are in constant contact with you. I'm very happy with this group.

Looking for a fitness pal. I need help with motivation, and would love someone to help with the workout routine and help me get into one.

Oh, good to know, I had laproscopy before for my gallery bladder but it was further down I suppose. So I'll pack accordinglyrics for my hospital stay

Hello everyone, I have already been to the Info session. I have my surgeon appointment on June 9th, i honestly can't wait. My insurance doesn't require anything but my Dr. requires a psych eval, 2 nutrition appointments, and possibly other testing. I'm anxious to get this process started, so i can become a healthier version of myself!

I was wondering how much protein was recommended daily to you by your doctor, also if it was just purely protein shakes or you could add soups?
