mrshill45 got a reaction from ShrinkingMeme in Revision with Peachtree Bariatrics - Atlanta
Hello, Maddylee40.
I was very impressed with Dr. Tuggle. At first I was taken back by how young she is but she does know what she is doing. Good luck with everything. :-)

So tomorrow 19:00hrs 9/13 is sleeve day.
Pre-op diet went well...lost around 20lbs in the two weeks. I'm motivated, I have had a word with myself and we agreed we are ready and excited about the future. No second thoughts.
However crapping myself with the magnitude of the next 24 hrs.
So this time tomorrow I will be post op and on my way to a better, healthier wardrobe... I mean life .
Thanks for the support from contributors here on the forum. Long may it continue. I look forward to sharing my before and afters at some stage ...!
See you on the other side.

It sounds like it will work out - It's probably an i left undotted, or a t left uncrossed! I would flip too if I got a $14K hospital bill!

mrshill45 got a reaction from ProudGrammy in I'm Freaking OUT!
I had my surgery on 7/6/2016 and was told at that time my out of pocket after insurance was $230. That was no problem so I paid it that day. I get a bill yesterday from the doctor for over $14,000!!!! I am completely confused and extremely stressed out because I just don't have $14K sitting around. When I looked at the EOB online it looks like the doctor charged for something that was not covered by my insurance (BCBS Anthem of GA). How would you all suggest I handle this situation? Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I called the insurance company this morning and they verified that it should have been covered. They are going to send the claim back to the adjuster because come to find out they did not pay the hospital claim of $45K either. Hopefully, everything works out or I may have to sell my house. smh They did say to give them two weeks to research.

mrshill45 reacted to Catmom4 in Look what's on the Premier Protein website!
My Walmart has both flavors. I don't like banana so I skipped that one but I got the caramel. It's good but very sweet. chocolate is still my favorite. I mix instant coffee with it every morning.

Of the varieties I've tasted so far I liked the Orgain creamy chocolate fudge shake the best.

mrshill45 reacted to Miss Mac in I am so done!
I just recently had that issue with a neurosurgeon who was supposed to fax exam notes to the pain clinic I go to for treatment. They said twice that they sent it, but the clinic said twice that they did not get it. So the third time I talked to the neurologist's office manager, we compared fax numbers. They were sending it to some anesthesia office.
While you are waiting, give yourself a headstart with these steps that most of us have to do pre-op anyway:
Do not eat anything made in a factory.
Eat lean Protein first and plenty of it.
Drink Water until your eyeballs float.
Don't become part of the sofa.

mrshill45 got a reaction from Recycled in I am so done!
Thank you, Recycled. I really needed those words of encouragement. The doctor's office was so great during the six month supervised weight loss phase, I was so sure everything would go without any snafus for the preapproval. Wishful thinking I suppose.

mrshill45 reacted to Recycled in I am so done!
If you only knew how many times my Dr's office screwed up things.......but.......here I am......surgery done....all weight lost....and doing great.....and it all seems like it happened so fast.....
Calm down, snafus happen......it'll all get sorted out and pretty soon you'll be living the life too......wondering where the time went.....
Here's something to think about.....

mrshill45 reacted to neckless_que in When do you tell someone new you're dating you've had WLS?
I'm a firm believer that straight talk leads to a straight understanding. A person will either accept you for who you are or not, but withholding information is the same as lying. On another note. How would you feel if your friend informed you that they had an STD when you were involved in foreplay?

Every insurance plan is different. It is best to coordinate with your surgeons office. They probably know the guidelines best.
