That's a good way of looking at it. I think it will be easier once I'm back on solid food. I've been on Clear liquids for 8 days now.

I miss eating. This was my first weekend home after having gastric sleeve on Monday April 25th. The weekends were all about cooking as a family and eating. It felt kind of strange. I didn't know what to do while everyone else was enjoying their meals. I know it will get easier once I'm able to eat solid food again, but I'm defiantly feeling the same way. food was such an improtant part of my life and now that I'm not eating its hard to fill the void.

I'm so glad for this post. I too have wondered the same thing but was too scared to mention it. I'm definitely one that has hidden behind my size for years. Not sure how I'm going to handle the attention, but one thing I am hoping to find is my backbone!!

I too am 6 weeks and suffered this very issue just last week. Thanks to the advice of some people on here, I found out I was eating too fast, and not chewing well enough.
Once I started slowing down and really chewing, all symptoms went away and I'm back to eating with no problem at all.

April 25th here! My pains are lower like where the staples are and they come in spasms. Usually when my stomach is empty. IE: morning, and late at night. Can't wait for this phase of the journey to be done. Sent from my XT1254 using the BariatricPal App

I also had surgery on April 25 and I know exactly what you are talking about. My pains are mostly when I eat something. It feels like a big burp stuck for a moment and then goes away. I just figure it is our bodies adjusting to the new plumbing. I think things are going to be weird for a while until we are completely healed. I've been eating creamed Soup and pudding OK. I can't believe how LOUD my stomach is when I eat something. Sounds like a couple of cats fighting. Hopefully this will get better also. Good Luck!
