From the hospital no. My surgeon and his nurse practioner came in to check on me and gave me the card

Once I start adding creamier liquids and such in the full liquids and mushies will it get some better? I start full liquids on Monday. Have been on clear all this week.

I got mine the morning after my surgery around 7 or 8 am in the morning

I got a card saying I have the band ans such my nurse said to use it in restaurants

My diarrhea did die yesterday but it came back this evening...but I guess as they say liquid in liquid out? Anyone got any ideas to help make it not so bad?

I spoke too soon about my diarrhea being gone...it came back to play this evening.

Posting to ask a not so nice question... Did anyone here have problems post op with diarrhea during their liquid stages and if so when did it end. I'm being tortured.

I'm doing okay...having a lot of diarrhea since surgery...as they say liquid in liquid out. Lots of gas pain still too but the pain in the incisions is letting up some. I stopped taking my pain pills on wednesday

I'm feeling much better now. I am 4 days out. Still really sore but I don't feel nauseated or have diareha anymore. I cannot spell that word for the life of me. Not hungry at all and I start full liquids on monday yay.

Everyone is updated. I had bought a scale to check my weight but everytime i stepped on it like one time right after another the weight was different...so I am going to try to find a better scale...I wish I knew if I lost more or not.

I am fine ya'll...I was just too groggy and nauseated to want to come online...I came on a few times though for like 3 minutes lol. I'll try updating the spreadsheet later today. I am feeling much better today than before...diarrhea FINALLY died yesterday. Since then I have been feeling much better. Before as soon as I drank something it was back out of my system and then i was really weak and tired...today I actually feel like a person again...still really sore but doing good!

I wish I was having constipation issues...instead I'm opposite. :sad: It sucks horribly I want it to go away. HOping it will soon. :crying:

The pain and nausea meds they gave me are pills was crushing them yesterday but today i jut cut them into pieces the crushing tastes horrible Tonight I finally took my main meds without crushing them they are smallish pills though. THANKS TOO :crying: Yes I am!! Just wanting this horrid gas pain to die...and the evil d word...:tt2: I seem to be the unlucky one who gets it instead of constipation.:cool2: Thanks hun I am so happy to be on the other side! I dunno hw I got to come home so early...My surgery was at 1pm monday and I got out of recovery and put into a room at 6pm had my nasty horrible feeling barium swallow at 7am started feeling horribly sick so they had to give me more nausea meds in my IV instead of by pills and they knocked me out again so muy mom got to the hospital around 9 am and i was still out of it so i had to finally get up and walk around a little and they let me go home at noonish I was the only surgery on monday all by myself lol

Thanks for the welcome...I felt like I got hit by a truck as soon as I woke up from surgery. The hiatal hernia repair made it to where I couldn't breathe...then the band was painful too. I have 4 incisions 3 of them are about half an inch and the big one for the port is like 2 1/2 inches long. The most pain I am having is lots of gas pain in my chest and left shoulder mostly. And it's very hard to burp. My incisions are hurting too but not like the hernia repair...Also it doesn't matter how much I walk around it doesn't seem to dimenish any of the gas/pain. Tis annoying but so worth it. I weighed myself before surgery and I was down 17lbs. That's 11 the first preop week 17 the 2nd preop week. If I add that 28 and the 28 from my 6 month diet for insurance I am down 56 lbs. I sure hope I begin to feel normal again soon though, I can't lay down or lean back without lots of pressure from the hernia repair...so I'll be sleeping sitting up for awhile! Having lots of trouble swallowing pills too...especially since I can only have so many ounces of water an hour. Gonna start crushing them.

yes thank god for happy pills because I am in a horrible amount of pain...so happy to be banded though!

I'm in bandland now!! In lots of pain and loving my vicodin woot.

kaplan told me today that I'm his star patient already! I was down another 17 lbs yesterday on the 2nd week of preop so i am down 56 lbs!! I am in lots of pain mostly gas pains...hurts to walk around get up etc. I had to stay at the hospital until noon though due to me getting really nauseated this morning and they had to give me more meds.

I absolutely won't be on anytime tomorrow and probably at least not until Tuesday evening. My surgeon requires an overnight stay and I won't get out of the hospital until Tuesday afternoon. Updated the spreadsheet!

I finally got my password changed on google...and UPDATED the spreadsheet YAY I won't be on tomorrow or possibly all of tuesday...WISH ME LUCK
