Lol. Lupita you are about to receive a lot of commentary.
My reply would be if you want a drink then get one and sip slowly. Keep in mind that alcohol may affect you a lot faster now and in a more dramatic fashion.
Don't count on being able to drink the whole thing. Just use caution and stop when it's enough.

if it is just the normal hormonal depression I went through this for a few weeks. the thing that helped me a lot was to go for a long walk. after a few weeks it lifted. yesterday I was in an irrationally good mood. first time in a while.

of course, not much of it! and always with a Protein. usually cottage cheese.
having been diabetic and really fruit was rough on my blood sugar it is a special delight to have a wee bit of fruit and have normal blood sugar. really makes me happy.

I eat one or 2 strawberries or a couple pieces of melon with my Protein which is usually chicken or fish. Feel the small amount of fruit helps my energy level.

Almost 6 months post-op and I can eat any fruits. Well, I can eat anything anyways, I have a sleeve of steel.

And I say ZERO only because at many of the stores they mix in zero with regular on the same shelf and although I think I picked all zeros I get home and 1 or 2 of my 20 bottles turn out to be regular and I do NOT drink them. Sugar is kryptonite and empty calories for most of us. Honestly for my first two weeks all I had was Vitamin Water zero (various flavors), Premier Protein vanilla, and Pacific "Bone Stock", which is a high Protein chicken broth which contains 14 grams of protein in a single 8oz serving. You can order all on Amazon. Stock up!

I'm Mexican. We ate lots of healthy foods, I just ate too much of all of it.
My staples are carnitas, carne asada, guacamole, Beans, queso fresco, salsa...
    I avoid tortillas, masa, rice.
There are healthy and unhealthy options in every culture. Protein is Protein, carbs are carbs,

Water won't open your sleeve. liquids go right through your pyloric valve and don't engage your restriction at all. Some people struggle with getting enough liquid in immediately post-op because of all the swelling and trauma to the stomach, but even then, the worst a liquid is going to do is make you feel uncomfortable.

@@lupita19 Depression is a common problem post-op. Your hormones are all out of whack. It may not be a response from not taking the medication. Your PCP may not get involved this soon after surgery. Hope you have some luck!

Actually both Norco and Percocet are downers. The depress your central nervous system they don't stimulate it.
Yes they can have the psychological effect of euphoria and decrease anxiety and depression just like alcohol or pot which are also CNS depressants/downers.
Some depression is really common post op, especially in women because of hormone release (estrogen is stored in fat).
But PLEASE DO check with your doctor. It's not likely withdrawal (as stated above) but you could be becoming psychologically dependent. Or it could be normal side effects of survey that you are medicating with the Norco, which is a step down the road to becoming psychologically dependent.

Have you tried the unflavored Protein in Water and crystal light? I am practically living off that right now. You can mix it in any drink or broth. It is not 100% flavorless but it has been better than the shakes for me. I get 2 with that and 1 regular shake. I am post op 1 week 1 day.

I use one called "Delicious" I put it in a blender with some frozen mixed berries, Greek yogurt, half a banana a dash of orange juice, and chilled Water.
I only had surgery yesterday so the quantity will be vastly different. But it makes it tasty and very doable. I used it in the past before work outs and for my 2 weeks pre op liquid diet.

I'll post. First is me at my heaviest, well about that at 277lbs. The next was last night, I'm about 180 right now, I usually weigh myself on Mondays at the gym. It's a pic of a pic after we bought it, sorry it's kinda has glare and stuff on it. I feel great so far! Hoping to tone up and lose more of course.
