  1. I'm 6months out... lost 60 pounds, everything was great! For about a month or so I've been off track and gained 3 pounds. Now I'm paying more attention to what I'm eating and trying to get my Protein in. I hope the weight starts to come off again Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten "off track" and gained weight? What did you do to fix it? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hap a few handfuls of popcorn currently almost 7 weeks post op... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hey everyone! After your wls did you immediately eat healthy all the time? I know I should be making healthy choices and I plan to put forth more effort. However, I am 2 weeks and 4 days post sleeve and I'm able to eat whatever I want (not as much of course) but I can still eat bad food/fast food. I know this makes no sense, but I think I thought my brain would just switch and I would be this new healthy person who would never eat fries, chips or bread...yea, that didn't happen Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. I had the sleeve. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Why is it suggested not to drink while eating? I'm currently having a baked chicken leg for dinner and I'm thirsty. I believe the rule is to wait 30min before you drink. Is this true? Why? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Where did you get this water bottle? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. At 11 days post op, it's easier to tell that I'm full...just felt it yesterday from a Protein smoothie that I made with frozen fruit, yogurt, Protein powder, and lite juice. I was terrified that I stretched my stomach . My stomach sounds have calmed down a lot! And I'm able to pretty much drink Water regularly without sipping. It's definitely getting easier. Almost too easy...like my sleeve is too big Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. More than u said u did I was fine all day at work, but when I got home, I was starving! I definitely don't suggest cheating tho. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. I'm 10 days post op and I hated the pre op diet. I cheated a few times and my liver was fine. If u absolutely have to eat, then try a lean piece of chicken. Try your best to do as ur surgeon instructed...it's worth it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. No PPI...its head hunger for sure, which I'm doing pretty good at ignoring today. I made my own smoothie that served as Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I used frozen fruit, light and fit peach Greek yogurt, a splash of light pineapple/mango juice, and 25g of whey Protein powder. I know this isn't 100% perfect, however, it has made it easy for me to get some protein in. Next time I'll use 2 scoops of Protein Powder Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I'm gonna try harder ladies...thanks for the advice. I love this app! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Supposed to say "am"...maybe I am hungry...I'm no longer able to think Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. 9days post op and I feel hungry sometimes. I heard that it's not hunger that I'm feeling, so I ignore it. I'm not really eating much...mostly yogurt. Had salmon yesterday. But I can't tell when I'm full so I just eat very little. What happens if I actually do get full? Does that mean I've stretched my stomach? I was so tired of only drinking Water so I got a small mango/pineapple smoothie from McDonalds today I had less than 1/4. Is that super bad??? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Yay! U look so pretty and happy Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Oh and I have not been drinking Protein shakes. I'm so over them I did try the Akins protein Water, lemon flavor is pretty good...taste like lemonade. I know it's not enough because I have yet to finish a 16oz bottle in day. But I am able to drink plenty of plain water and skim milk. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Hello! I'm 7 days post op today. My one week f/u app is scheduled for tomorrow. I'm supposed to eat an egg cooked any way I want before my appointment. If I tolerate it well, I will start soft/mushy foods. I'm allowed to eat anything you can smash with a fork and chew until the food has the consistency of apple sauce. I've been on liquids for 7 days and I ate Soup, yogurt, pudding (once), and cream of wheat (twice). I made salmon and mashed potatoes for dinner tonight. Can't wait to try it tomorrow. (I did taste test both)...went down well but that's all I had. I just drank a glass of milk instead of eating more. I will say I'm having a hard time knowing when I'm full. When I have my soup or yogurt I just eat half or less but I haven't actually felt full...or hungry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. But I weighed myself today (2days post-op) and the scale says I gained 6lbs since right before surgery. I'm hoping this is Water weight from all the fluids I was giving in the hospital I also have a low grade fever...99.3 has anyone else experienced this? Per my surgeons office, I only need to call if my temp is 101 or higher. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Hello B_D ... I too had the sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair (didn't know I had. Hernia) on Tuesday! I was discharged yesterday as well. I have no pain at all except my throat is a little sore from the tube I guess. But overall, I feel great. Oh and I didn't have a drain. Good luck on your recovery!
